ok so say i am spinning in my back yard and someone calls the police can i spin fire in my own yard without being hassled? i live in largo, FL

Yes, you can. Just don't play music/drums too loud, you'll get a noise violation sometimes.

oh, and don't let the embers make their way to your neighbor's attic full of explosives. then i'll have to knock on your door for waking me up at 3am to respond to a `crater where a house should be` call =]

not yet, but i figure eventually someone will get upset and call and i want to be prepared and know what my rights are as a homeowner.
