that makes them sooooo hypnotic even when they arnt being manipulated

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourself, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous and talented? Who are you NOT to be?

Hmmmm! Contact!

There was a video exhibition at Tate Modern (London). It was filmed at Osaka Airport with a Japanese girl wearing futuristic clothes and make up and playing with a CJ ball. Nice! If ur passing check it out.

I think the reason for this is that you are looking through a crystal ball with two eyes, but there is only a one-aparature point of view when you photograph it. the wide angle view you get thru the ball is significantly different for each eye, so when your brain combines them, you get a bit dazzled because you can only focus on and succesfully combine the images in one small area at a time. with a picture, you get none of that.

Heya...

I am constantly amazed by the beautiful reflections/views etc my contact balls give.. even though I have owned them for a few years now. Narr.. I used black and white photography (obviously) to get the image I have as my avatar... it gives pretty cool affects...

Have fun... biggrin

In terms of price, they do vary according to size.
The HoP shop has them and the Oddballs website and Firetoys - There seems to be pretty standard pricing for them. Always good to check the balls are acrylic, not polycarbonate

what is it about crystal balls?, those closed minded might say its a round piece of glass,, personaly, i believe its the gental motion of a curved light, the abilaty to see around corners, a distorted universe barried deep within your hand,,,,,,, a crystal and its beauty is stilled in motion, colorless with endless ammounts of color,,,, but aside from all this, such a crystal is relentlas in its abilaties,, when a crystal is in the room everything around it seams simply more beautiful when seen through its perplexing eye,
