i'm soo miserable. i just got a friend of mine fired!! he works at McDonalds and my and this friend of his were just joking with him and told him how he's a horrible worker. anyway we were just having fun and the lady in charge of the shift heard us and him and he said some stuff she shouldn't have heard (him cursing us and stuff ) anyway we told her we are his friends and she let him off the hook.
i called him an hour later and he was fired.
i feel so bad.
d'you people have any advise or wanna just shout at me 'cause he hasn't and that makes it even worse...

Acid,
Don't you worry, please.
I just beleive that if your friend got fired after you gave the explanation, it means that the manager was just looking for an excuse to fire your friend.
I don't think you did anything wrong and you should definitely not feel bad about the whole story. Some people just love that little power hey have and use it just to feel it... they are frustrated beings and you can't do much about that.
I hope your friend finds another job somewhere else, definitely better paid and with more intelligent managers

I agree completely with Cassandra.
If the same thing had happened to me, I certainly wouldn't blame my friends, I'd be really mad at the manager though. What was the reason she gave for firing him?

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I'd say that there's nothing worng with your friend, he knows your relationship is strong enough to take a joke like that and I'd take that as a huge compliment.

It's the ability to do little things like this that makes a friendship, rather than everyone being greasey and supernice to each other all the time.

Part of a freindship is being able to forgive the other person, although that dsoesn't mean you can't try to pull something similar on him...

this may make me sound like a heartless wench, but i say, get him fired! As i was reading through the posts i was thinking that he should be thanking you! after working at macdonalds you usually dont have much trouble finding another job, because they offer such great training *aparently*, but in my opinion, working no where is better than working at macdonalds....
And theres one thing i would love to get through to that corporate load of crap....
RECYCLE YOUR PACKAGING!!!!!!!!!!!
*im very sorry, im tking my haterd for macdonalds out on yor friend*

But still, im glad you and your friend are close enough to be able to play jokes like that on each other, it shows a strong connection between the both of you.. And i hope hes happy, wherever hes working

Then send him photos of the dog in exotic places with exciting new people, and maybe even...

other dogs! (could doggy porn be the ultimate revenge? "oh rover, how could you?!!")

It was a day for screaming at inanimate objects.
