putting aside the sheer amazingness of the technical abilities of man and stuff, space has to be the most beautiful sight ever.

i went to the Greenwich observatory a few weeks ago with my mummy, and there were loads of amazing photos of nebulas and galaxies and stuff.

there are so many - i couldn't find my favourite one, but if i do i'll post it up - it's so amazing.

I had a dream that my friend had a
strong-bad pop up book,
it was the book of my dreams.

I went to the observatory with my girlfriend last week.
We saw saturn (+ moons), jupiter(+moons) and the moon, through a huge telescope.... eek

amazing you can see something like jupiter which is awsomely gigantic and it looks like a small coin's size only because it's millions of miles away.....but you can see it even though it's that far away.... biggrin

I live in a world of infinite possibilities.

One of the best things about doing field work is being able to stand in the middle of no where, and look up, in the middle of the night, to see the countless stars and Milky Way in the sky.

Moments like that put things into an odd sense of perspective. With some of Hubble's pictures in mind, along with my grasp of Geologic time, I realize how fleeting my life on this earth will be....how small I am in the Universal scheme of things.

I'm not trying to sound depressing, or anything, but it is awe inspiring in a way.
