The Beltane Fire Festival is held every year during the night of 30th April on Calton Hill in Edinburgh. An audience of around 15 thousand people come to share the two hour procession and wild after-events. Justifiably famous for its intensity and colour, the event has become a much-loved feature of the Edinburgh calendar since it was first organised in the mid 1980s.

I've actually been sewing, for the first time in my life (primary school and buttons and minor repairs excluded), and I'm pleased with my costume. Now I only hope someone takes some decent piccies of me!!

You all looked very stressed and tired and in need of And confused by me in a suit. Especially Steve. 
I managed to find one of my bowls and two of my spoons. So two bowls and one spoon are hiding somewhere in Dalmeny Street!
If anyone finds a spoon that has a hooky thing on the end, it be mine so please look after it for me and stop it from getting lonely without its' friends. The bowls are blue and nice, but we can get more of them. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!

1 day to go.... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I'm getting so excited! Want to bounce and sing and scream and hug random people, but I might get thrown out of the lab. On the positive side that would mean I'd get to go home and get some sleep

no idea... it's work for me today though, and I'm still feeling like I'm sitting at the fire at Arthur's Seat, and wearing a huge grin on my face. People here probably think I'm VERY strange. Instead of strange, which is what they thought before...
I've managed to get my hair untangled, though there were lots of little hair-casualties and lots of pain on the way there. And I had to use about half a bottle of conditioner!
