Login/Join to ParticipateThe Beltane Fire Festival is held every year during the night of 30th April on Calton Hill in Edinburgh. An audience of around 15 thousand people come to share the two hour procession and wild after-events. Justifiably famous for its intensity and colour, the event has become a much-loved feature of the Edinburgh calendar since it was first organised in the mid 1980s.

as the site hasnt been updated since then, who knows if this years event will happen, im sure bluecat could shed some light on this one as the beltane office is also the te POOKa office.
beltane did actually happen last year but only to performers and was done privately out of edinburgh with no spectators.

don't know if its up to date, but it'll have the important details.
incidentally, i plan to be hosting edinburgh's first international Poi in the Park that weekend, as we already have a pretty dubious bunch heading north for beltane(co-lemon, ppp, BB, plus all the edinburgh regulars and hopefull a bunch of you lot, cause beltane is a must on my calendar and i'd like everyone to see why....)
anyway.
it'll get its own thread when prop'ly organised.
