welcome aboard...

any questions you have just ask away, but first you should try and search for the topic. there is a lot of good info on here that is just lying around for someone to revive and read.

anyone got a light?

Thanks. Yeah i was looking for something that related to what i was needing. I am tring to learn to do a reverse chase ( so i could turn around and keep it going, so i could tie in some of my other moves)

welcome, Misty!

I just got that down myself a short while ago, and these guys have already convinced me to start with staff! i hope you find what you're looking for too!

oh, it helped me to learn how to go from just spinning poi forward from on both sides to going into a weave, then looking at how i might do the same thing when going from an underhand spin on both sides to the reverse weave. try freezing your hands and doing the same thing only from underneath.

why does no one ever make sense to themselves when they try to explain these things?

heh. =)

practice is all.

Greetings!

I too have been spinning for some time, and I have been hanging around the site for about 6 months, but I just recently registered and all that. Guess I wanted to work through the video lessons before I started asking all sorts of dumb questions. I, and most everyone else, are willing to answer any questions you might have. There is some inherant trouble in using words only to describe some of this stuff. I would suggest using the "meet others" option at the top of the page to see if there is anyone else in your area who spins, and who has registered here. This seems to be the most comprehensive poi/staff/etc. site that I have run across. And don't worry, I wont jump you. Well, if you're cute I might

Anyway, welcome welcome, and if you are ever up in Oregon you're welcome to spin with my troupe.

peace

hey bluemist and moon pixie I'm a new girl as well and thought I would just say hi. Hi. I have a question that I could not find an answer on the search, but maybe I'm just an idiot and not typing in the right thing. Are there specific stretches to help get arms flexible for btb moves? I have been smaking the hell out of myself, but I guess I'm lucky cause I practice with maori poi balls so there nice and soft.
