So... Everything is closed today... The even stopped the metro *sigh* That's when you know it's bad!

So.. right now there's a raging blizzard outside.

See: BLIZZARD

It's loverly, but burns because of the wind tongue We're getting half a metre biggrin *dances about happily*

We tried to get my mom to work, because she's an "essential" worker - a nurse at the hospitol. Got about.. 20m away from the house... Then gave up because it took ten minutes to do that, and the major roads were in the same condition. All the highways are closed and everything too ^o^

So.. what to do? Can't go out and spin because it's too windy (60 - 90km/h wind) plus the snow still coming down (1cm/10 min).

Now I'm wide awake (allthough woken up at 6 to shovel for an hour) and have nothign to do! I'm not allowed to go over to a friends, because my dad say's it's too bad outside.

Pish, I could make it!! In like... 40 min to do a 15 min walk! The snow;s only upto... Somewhere between my knees and hips... I could do it!

Can't I?

i think i'd actually enjoy snow if it were like that, you know, not having to go to work or anything.

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Yesh, well Custom, I'm still not allowed to go out frown

Ah well... Took a nice hot shower, and I still have power, meaning music, makes me happy. I should probably clean my room...

Apparently since this is ending tomorrow morning we shouldn't expect to have school tomorrow either. But Monday is also an inservice for the teachers, so, this may turn into a possible 5-day weekend biggrin

Ahem... SCOOOORE!!!! *does uber happy dance*

***UPDATE***

Nova Scotia has now declared us in an official state of emergency. So... Now what?

I have no idea what that means. If it means extra plows coming from other places, greeeat... That's the second "state of emergency" this (school) year... First in September with hurricane Juan, and now this Nor'Easter... ubblol

This is fun... Then again, I never take the weather seriously enough. I really should. :S

I don't know what 67 degrees is, but in Sydney today it will be over 40degrees celsius! HOT!

Oh man. Don't even get me started on this blizzard. My family and I were in Alberta for my cousin's wedding and I only knew about the storm from talking to Flipmodius on the phone, but I didn't really think much of it...until our flight home was cancelled and we had to stay in sleazy, hell hole Hamilton over night.
When we got home we had to dig out our driveway....no easy feat seeing as the snowbanks the plows had made were taller than me.
We're supposed to get another foot tomorrow, too.

ubblol Yep. Whoohoo! Snowland!

Oh.. Demios, I'm from Hamilton... born and raised there for 11 years biggrin Got that steel in the blood! Or is it pollution in the lungs? O.o' I think pollution ubblol

The snow is falling now again, and it's so pwetty!

But on Friday, we finally got free enough to get my mom to work... We saw three on ramps to a highway to get OUT of the city, and it was less of a ramp, more of the back end of some poor car, with the front half buried under a 10ft pile of snow. ubblol

We tried four ways to get out of the city... FINALLY found one.
