Posted: I'm tired, sad and fed up so please don't mind me ranting and raving.
I don't really expect anything from doing this but I really need to get his off my chest.
Most people who know me know that I have some health issues that won't go away.
My asthma is severe and though it is relatively under control it constantly gives me lung infections that I have to fight off. I have been on and off cortisone and/or prednisone for the past 10 years (I got asthma when I was 13).
I also have a cleft lip and partial palate (fistula) which has of course not helped when it comes to problems with my lungs and nose.
I suffer chronic hayfever and sinusitis and constantly have infections in my nasal passages.
I can't remember that last day I woke up and actually felt healthy.
My general day starts with myself buried in a tissue box feeling sore and sorry for myself.
I have tried all types of medications to cure my sinuses of the problem...both over the counter and on prescription. I have also had the sinus drain operation, which I might say was painful both physically and money wise.
With all the steriods I am on my body is tired and run down...I am so tired of being sick every day that I am grumpy and snapping at everyone or just being extremely anti social.
At the moment it is summer here in Australia and my sinuses are running overtime giving me hell.
You know what I am really sick of though....these people who come in and talk to me and say they have hayfever and how depressed they are....WHAT THE F***??? I get it EVERY F***ING DAY of my life...and they are complaining because they get it for one day in a month.
I'm so sorry for going off like this.
I am tired...I just want to go home, curl into a tight little ball and cry myself to sleep and never wake up.
I want to know what it is like to feel healthy again without having to pay over $200 in medical bills every month.
Again I am sorry for the ranting....

I can just see it turning into an "Ask Lightning" thread and that would make me very uncomfortable.

Posted: yes that's true. good point.
I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Posted: Thank you all to your replies...not only did I get a lot of ideas as to ways of helping me but I had a good laugh at the thread high jacking.
In reply to some of the things on here....menthol is a no for me due to the fact that it does have an element of eucalyptus in it but I am going to try the netti pot thing as soon as I can find the equipment.
I have tried homeopathy and was on it for two years before giving up on it. I think it was a case of some things working better on other people. It did work for the first week I was taking it then my body grew an immunity and it stopped working (which is the problem I have with most of the things I have tried to cure my sinuses).
Acupuncture...... I am the biggest wuss when it comes to needles....I don't know why...it's not like they hurt (depending on who gives them) that much....but I am soooooo scared of needles I start crying when I see one. This little black duck is a huge wuss.
And yoga...I love yoga I practise yoga with my lovely relaxation cd's every second day. I find though it doesn't help my hay fever it does help my state of mind.
The doctor has put me on a "new" drug that is supposed to be stronger. Apparently the strongest on the market in Australia. I can't remember the name of it offhand sorry.
He has said that the only option I have after trying this....if it doesn't work....will be cortisone injections...which I have heard are painful and can have bad side effects and long term problems.
I have relaxed a bit over the weekend so I am feeling better (although the hay fever this morning is bad again) I think the main reason I lost it was because I am stressed at work, stressed about my health and just generally stressed because I need some time just to be quiet and by myself.
I am going to put in for holidays today and maybe I will have some time to gather myself together.
Again thank you all for your help and the smiles and hugs. Please feel free to give me more suggestions.

i no that a big bolw of chicken soop wont help much with your ailes of body, but maybe itll just cure you up, and make you feel even a little better of mind.
lost of and and :feel-betters:
What if we think the jokes on them, But really - the jokes on us....
Quote: I'm not saying you have to do this, but it is worth cutting things out of your diet to see if you feel any better. Some foods just don't mix with certain bodies.
if you go to a good homeopath they should do allergy testing for you on your hair. The testing they do is more specialised than what doctors do, and also some allergies come and go. When my homeopath tested me she found out i was allergic to sugar which i cut out for a few months and felt much better.
They might be able to pick up on something your doctor doesn't notice.
good luck
