Lots of useful threads about hyperloops\airwraps\knots\tangles\nexuseses\randy badgers.

Please post random rubbish in this thread to keep it bumped biggrin

Read These First

Airwraps and Hyperloops

A funky article by Dom, introducing and explaining the terms airwrap and hyperloop.

Includes this important observation:
Written by: "Dom"

"The word "hyperloop" was first used on this board by Glass in October 2002. Since then there has been constant debate about what a hyperloop actually is. Ultimately a hyperloop is part of the airwrap family of moves and it doesn't actually matter what it is or what it's called as long as you're having fun."

[Old link]

an excellent 'how-to' guide for the most basic tangling move from Professor Coleman. The thread that started me hitting my poi together on purpose.

[Old link]

This thread is basically what got all the techie people into Hyperloops and Isolations. Here you can verify that this stuff is all Glass’ fault spank

It's massive and has lots of interesting stuff (if you skim past the occasional bout of arguments/accusations)

Butterfly Threads

[Old link]

Dom & Dantana explain the whole tangly butterfly thingy

[Old link]

Dantana, Coleman, Poibox and Nix? explain the whole tangly butterfly thingy

[Old link]

includes MORE useful stuff about butterfly thingies from Dr Dantana. He knows his thingies he does…

[Old link]

Starts off describing recoil-wrapping one-poi from a butterfly tangle. Goes into more general butterfly tangly advice.

Buzzsaw Threads

[Old link]

In fact… it’s a tangled buzzsaw smile

[Old link]

OK thread, but not enormously informative or helpful.

[Old link]

advice on how to keep buzzsaw tangles going. Good stuff.

[Old link]

Oli explains stuff about adding and removing twists from tangly buzzsaws (with nice diagrams smile )

[Old link]

not particularly informative or helpful

Helpful Theoretical Type Threads

[Old link]

More than what it says in the title. Messed up tangly conversations.

[Old link]

i reckon this is a very useful thread for advancing your understanding of tangles in general.

[Old link]

The effects of rotating hands contrary to spin direction. Reducing the amount of time you spend untangled.

[Old link]

Horizontal tangly stuff and a bit of general chatter. Definitely worth checking out.

Wierd Moves n Stuff…

[Old link]

Three awesome new tangly moves (with video) from the Reverend Rev

[Old link]

another great thread by le chat bleu with many funky ideas to play with…

[Old link]

Good description of and advice about… between the legs airwraps

[Old link]

(but... aren't all hyperloops atomic? confused)

[Old link]

Groovy idea from Tommy Nixford. Needs long poi.

[Old link]

Stuff about how to get lots of beats in airwraps

[Old link]

Stuff about how to get lots of beats in airwraps. again...

[Old link]

stuff about tangling poi then stalling them...

[Old link]

"...like some freaky astrojack/meteor mutant monster!"

[Old link]

Horizontal tangled throws from Dr Dantana

[Old link]

“you can put bouncy balls in socks then go tangle tangle bounce bounce tangle bounce.”

That’s about the size of it. It’s a short thread smile

Other Useful Bits

[Old link]

General advice about learning. Very useful.

[Old link]

Argh! Terminology debate! Mummy, i’m scared...

[Old link]

sometimes hyperloops make you sad PART ONE!

[Old link]

sometimes hyperloops make you sad PART TWO! ubbcrying

Only included for the sake of completeness

[Old link]

Given it's useful sounding title, this thread is quite shockingly pointless ubblol

[Old link]

Some stuff about turning with hyperloops. Not enormously useful.

[Old link]

Some random stuff – ball chain, 3 beat corkscrews, teabags and cone-shaped gravity…

[Old link]

Mainly descends into terminology confusion frown

[Old link]

simple question? About hyperloops? ubblolubblolubblolubblol

[Old link]

oh god, don’t mention fountains, you’ll only upset cole…

forwards or backwards?

I was thinking this about butterfly airwraps, they should go in 4 ways, top and bottom, in to out and out to in. The 'natural' way for me is forwards bottom in to out and the opposite for backwards.

another wird thing is spilt time i seem to get a half airwrap, it tangles at oneside and untangles on the other, without ever comming inside.....

If I may just pick up from where Mushashooatii left off, I am going to pass down some advise I received from my own father, not someone else´s.

The easiest way to tell if your badger is randy enough is often just to simply look at it.

Try rating these badgers out of 10 for their Randiness.

Actually UCOF, I was always top of the class in BR (Badger Rating)at school. Heres my answer sheet.....

1) 7/10 - he is fairly fluffy though!
2) 2/10 - more of a glamour model than randi pornbadge.
3) 4/10 - pretty scary lookin bunch though.
4) 10/10 - MOST EXCELLENT BADGER HUMPING!

......howd i do?

mad Tommy Nixford! mad

If you haven't got anything insensible to say then don't say it mad

wink

Sp!nna, your badger randiness ratings were good...

but not quite right. i'm afraid they were all trick badger questions of different types.

1) The Badger Randiness Quotient (BRQ) = 9.9889 / 10

This badger has been given an injection of Metahornibadga, a banned substance that causes badgers to become so randy that they become unstable and may suffer from SMED (sudden messy explosion disorder).

You can tell this by a number of clues.

1. The finished pint glass next to him. Metahornibadga is generally given to badgers in a solution of Cider and Blackcurrant, in order to cover the taste.

2. The fluffing of fur, showing the early signs of an impending SMED event.

3. This badger has been so chronically overdosed that it is attempting to mate with a bag of chips. This is not ordinary badger behaviour. They are usually shy and retiring nocturnal mammals.

2) BRQ = N\A

That is not a badger. Note the cheek markings and prominent ears. It is an unidentified plains mammal, that appears to be of asian descent.

3) BRQ = 9 / 10

What we have here is the early stage of a badger orgy or gangbadg. As usual in such situations, the badgers wear Soft Toy disguises to protect their identities. As i explained previously, badgers are in general shy and retiring. However, when their identities are protected by plush synthetic fluff, they suddenly let loose all their hidden desires and fantasies. Gangbadgs can last anywhere inbetween forty minutes to seven years.

4) BRQ = 0/10

What we have here is not a picture of badgers mating, but of an elder brother badger carrying his tired little sister back from a day out at the badger-races. Note the streamlined badgerhair of the sister. She is a Speed Badger, groomed for racing. She can outrun a cheetah over relatively short distances, though she lacks stamina, as we see here. Through careful study of the Elder Brother Badgers face, we can just make ouut that he is whistling the tune to "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" by Bob Russell and Bobby Scott. This is an idyllic and touching scene of badger love, but no randiness is involved. (unless you ask that nasty little pervert freud)

Here is an important issue that i want resolved.

Is there someone who doesn't know what badger's like (to eat).

Because i have been reliably informed on a number of occasions that
Quote:

everybody knows, badgers love...

...a particular foodstuff.

And i'm wondering if that statement is in fact verifiably false. umm

Therefore the statement

is demonstrably false

i shall start writing my report to Nature magazine forthwith.

Thats another point...

does anyone know what forthwith means? confused
