Posted:Lots of useful threads about hyperloops\airwraps\knots\tangles\nexuseses\randy badgers.

Please post random rubbish in this thread to keep it bumped biggrin

Read These First

Airwraps and Hyperloops

A funky article by Dom, introducing and explaining the terms airwrap and hyperloop.

Includes this important observation:Written by: "Dom"
"The word "hyperloop" was first used on this board by Glass in October 2002. Since then there has been constant debate about what a hyperloop actually is. Ultimately a hyperloop is part of the airwrap family of moves and it doesn't actually matter what it is or what it's called as long as you're having fun."

hyperloop - the basic 4-beat

an excellent 'how-to' guide for the most basic tangling move from Professor Coleman. The thread that started me hitting my poi together on purpose.

The Jedi Set

This thread is basically what got all the techie people into Hyperloops and Isolations. Here you can verify that this stuff is all Glass fault spank

It's massive and has lots of interesting stuff (if you skim past the occasional bout of arguments/accusations)

Butterfly Threads

Butterfly air wraps

Dom & Dantana explain the whole tangly butterfly thingy

butterfly hyperloop

Dantana, Coleman, Poibox and Nix? explain the whole tangly butterfly thingy

Wierd airwrap I fell upon

includes MORE useful stuff about butterfly thingies from Dr Dantana. He knows his thingies he does

butterfly hyperloop wrap...thing

Starts off describing recoil-wrapping one-poi from a butterfly tangle. Goes into more general butterfly tangly advice.

Buzzsaw Threads

its a bit like a airwrap but differernt

In fact its a tangled buzzsaw smile

Tangled Buzzsaw

OK thread, but not enormously informative or helpful.

Perpetual Tangled Buzzsaw

advice on how to keep buzzsaw tangles going. Good stuff.

Fun Stuff to do with Tangles

Oli explains stuff about adding and removing twists from tangly buzzsaws (with nice diagrams smile )

ok, this one really is a new move, sorta, whatever...hyperbuzzsaw

not particularly informative or helpful

Helpful Theoretical Type Threads

Ninjaz & BTB Hyperloops

More than what it says in the title. Messed up tangly conversations.

inside or inverted airwraps...

i reckon this is a very useful thread for advancing your understanding of tangles in general.

anti-spin tangle thoughts...

The effects of rotating hands contrary to spin direction. Reducing the amount of time you spend untangled.

Corkscrew Airwraps

Horizontal tangly stuff and a bit of general chatter. Definitely worth checking out.

Wierd Moves n Stuff

Fun stuff to do with tangly things...

Three awesome new tangly moves (with video) from the Reverend Rev

a few bits of fun perchance...

another great thread by le chat bleu with many funky ideas to play with

between the legs airwraps

Good description of and advice about between the legs airwraps

Atomic Hyps

(but... aren't all hyperloops atomic? confused)

Double Hyperloops

Groovy idea from Tommy Nixford. Needs long poi.

Multi-Beat Airwraps

Stuff about how to get lots of beats in airwraps

multibeat hyp/twisties, AGAIN!!

Stuff about how to get lots of beats in airwraps. again...

Stalls from airwraps

stuff about tangling poi then stalling them...

One-Handed Tangles

"...like some freaky astrojack/meteor mutant monster!"

downward conical airwrap spider (exits)

Horizontal tangled throws from Dr Dantana

bounce hyperloops

you can put bouncy balls in socks then go tangle tangle bounce bounce tangle bounce.

Thats about the size of it. Its a short thread smile

Other Useful Bits

Hyperloops made easy. It's all in the poi

General advice about learning. Very useful.

hyperloops vs. air wraps

Argh! Terminology debate! Mummy, im scared...

Hyperloop blues

sometimes hyperloops make you sad PART ONE!

Back in Tangles

sometimes hyperloops make you sad PART TWO! ubbcrying

Only included for the sake of completeness

BTB Hyperloops and other variations?

Given it's useful sounding title, this thread is quite shockingly pointless ubblol

fountain to hyperloop tuckturn

Some stuff about turning with hyperloops. Not enormously useful.

Hyperloop Help\Wierdness

Some random stuff ball chain, 3 beat corkscrews, teabags and cone-shaped gravity

Calling all Hyperloop Boffs

Mainly descends into terminology confusion frown

Hyperloops...again. Simple question

simple question? About hyperloops? ubblolubblolubblolubblol

Hyperloop fountains....

oh god, dont mention fountains, youll only upset cole

There are many pretty patterns to be seen especailly when on naughty naughties.

What? The name for visual sensations arising from mechanical or electrical stimulation of the eyeball?

that'd be:

PHOSPHENES are bright lines and dots that appear when you close your eyes or sit in the dark. With sensory deprivation, some drugs, and meditation and/or trance states, this phenomenon becomes more pronounced and the patterns (called ENTOPTICS) increase in complexity and may include flashes, spirals, circles, or zigzags that move in concentric circling, horizontal streaking, vertical falling, or scattering fragments. Motifs may overlap and transform into one another.
