Look at him there with his leathery leathery whip,
It's made of magic and with a little flick...

Yeah-yeah, yeah the cow is back!

Back-back, back from his magical journey!

okay, the one after the 21st... the 28th... maybe. I will check uni timetables.

I don't want pictures of that match. I WANT IT!

I want you to teach poi, to an unfortunately mixed ability class. Maybe you could also teach poi the next sunday after that if there is a good turnout.

Things are up in the negative air space...

HOP has suddenly become a good laugh thanks to glittergirl.

What does PACE stand for? Is it an anti-ecstasy sentiment? (PEACE but without the E?)

Well I only get paid £20000 for being president, (I would like it to be six figures) but I can offer you a franchise?

Right: there will probably be most of the juggling society poiers there - hopefully. You know how much these people range in levels! From "I can do an 8 beat airwrap!" to: "I can do the two beat weave, how does the three beat work again?" Things like: Extensions, stalls, cheeky poi, airwraps, simple but not usually known moves are good methinks.

It will be in teviot debating hall. This can fit a lot of people. I will probably be there to help out.

I have as yet no idea of numbers. Over ten for sure. (?) I will be putting posters up, and *advertising* this poi workhop so I have no idea what will be happening in the end...

2 hours! 2 HOURS! Can you teach for two hours? Who knows!

You could always do a 'Dai' workshop from last year's EJC... where you just do impossible moves so quickly it's impossible to learn and eventually everyone just sits and watches you for two hours.

Or you could just stand behind a podium and lecture on poi theory for two hours, drawing unrecongizable patterns on a dry erase board behind you. Stoping every 2 minutes to sternly ask people to be quiet. Throw a 45 minute tyrade on 'negative space' and 'postmodernist poi' where you bang a shoe on the podium. Then, at the end, stop mid sentence, stare straight ahead, inhale deeply and storm out of the room never to return.

I'm just sayin'... that's the kind of workshop I'D like to see. biggrin

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

I would like to see that workshop too. But with more sherlock holmes style tobacco pipes, flappy ear hats, black board / white board based woes, and at the end a short demonstration of the weave from first principles.

I think we need a white board in the debating hall...

And then ask people to continously calculate the angular momentum of their poi while spinning them blindfolded. Hmmmmm blindfolds....

I love black borads and white boards. You can never find an eraser for one, and the chalk keeps breaking. For the other you always have the wrong pen (which won't erase), no pen, or an near empty pen. I love em.

Everything I own in the world is slightly covered in chalk.

Ahh... The life of a school teacher.

In all honesty, it would be funny to have a round table discussion with some of the Poi Gods. It would be moderated like those political round tables you see on TV. Where there's always one guy via satellite who can't get a word in edgewise. biggrin

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.
