You see if it's still raining tonight (assuming it's actually raining up in Scotland) does that mean no one will be out at the meadows?

One day i'll learn to resist gravity...

Aww! frown

Oh well, I'll look forward to next week then!

Just as well you're not coming up today actually - the weather looks like it'll be too horrible to do firey things anyway... but on the plus side - there's always the pub! (hooray for Edinburgh and its 1:1 ratio of pubs to people biggrin )

in between jawbone walk and MM walk... there's a pretty green bench in the middle of the grass by this triangly corner bit... and there'lll usually be a few people lurking with toys

Yeah - even in such miserable weather as last night there were still people about playing with fire in the pouring rain! (although admittedly some of us had to have a strong cup of tea (with added whisky-gingerwiney-ness) half way through to keep the damp out....

So anyway, next week should be a big Meadows firey fun evening, what with people travelling from all over the World to attend! (as far away as er, Bristol, and er, Troon! Wow!) wink

Now to concoct an anti-rain device.... ubbidea

STOP PRESS!

Suggestion for an extra gathering (with fire) this Wednesday night (ie. tomorrow) as (providing the sky is clear) there should be an impressive show of the Perseids (meteors) starting around 10pm on Wednesday and going on until late on Thursday night.

More info here: BBC News - Perseid Meteor Shower

Of course the weather forecast doens't show any sign of improving... frown

I'll see what I can do about the cake... adventures? I hope not too devestating, but trouble seems to follow me wherever I go

Looking forward to the 'things'! and how about chocolate custard in trifle? I had an interesting facial experience with a trifle in Falmouth...

oh yeah and I arrive at noon tomorrow - I expect a welcome party with banners and fireworks!

[In the interest of moral decency I will refrain from further comment or innuendo in public. wink ]

I think Laura should lead that Sex Positions workshop next EJC. You got 10 months to sort it out girlie. Get crackin'. And don't forget to stretch out before. Don't want to cramp up. eek

Mmmm - trifle!

Which means of course lunch in the Starbank Inn - best trifle in Edinburgh (especially after a tiring afternoon of climbing).

Don't know about banners, but there will be fireworks (its the festival - every night there are fireworks!) and possibly cake, but definitely beer and fire - always beer and fire!

grrr. umm

didn't enjoy my plays last night at all.

was fun being heckled, and trying to get the tricky manoover throw on a staff with no grip was a pleasant challenge... but not nice to be on show at your home event.... actually went for a play and felt like i had no option but to perform. applause is nice, but i was much happier the third run with the doubles when no-one was watching.

think i will wait a few weeks at least until the numbers have died down a litlle before heading back to the meadows on a monday night.

love yas
