Now when I go out clubbing I find that my arms start moving so that I am doing an invisible weave etc. to the music.

Haha yeah! instead of liquid glowstick dancing I move into doing the weave and windmill with them I have no idea what it looks like but hey!

aaaaaah. the classic "personwithoutpoi" moves....

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

i gotta say, living in a place like Tasmania (that little island under Australia) the scene is pretty hard-core and you can notice a group of poi/staffers...we talk different, dance stupid and generally don't feel comfortable talking to people who have no idea what we are talking about... ubbloco

starting unofficial poi classes (ages of attendees so far: 12- 50 something) at the school you're teaching in China because

A) you think Chinese kids would be able to do some kickass stuff with a bit of practise

B) you want someone to say: 'Hey check out this cool antispin thing!' to and have them understand you

Because ActiveAngel sounds like a feminine deodorant

Haha, definately! I do all the invisible stuff too, flowers happen a lot when we're all sat around in the kitchen. The real telling one is then switching to antispin flowers and thinking, 'yeah this feels cool' but to everyone else you're just waving your arms around like you were before.

Idiots. smile

you think the bartender who juggles two bottle is lame because:
- he uses pyrotechnical cold fire
- uses only two even without a chain

you find yourself twirling each plastic bag after going shopping... even though the content is fragile

you have spend hundreds of hours practising moves, travelling for thousands of kilometers to meet fellow spinner but still think you suck

You have been poing for about a year. Moved out of the house a month ago. When you visit your parents, your mother and little brother is standing on the lawn one with a set of commets the other with makeshift practice poi trying to outdo each other.

And your father standing on one side shouting: "Now where's the friggin fire!!!"

I suppose it runs in the family hey!?!
