Posted: Dear HOP -
I'm new to this website and I need help. I find the number and length of the threads a little overwhelming and am having a hard time keeping track of what I've replied to and where, etc. Any suggestions?
Sincerely, Lost But Not For Long

There's a few things to help you out. The basics:
When you log in the board knows when you were last here and so when you view the main index of forums any forum with new post since your last visit will have a yellow light bulb next to it. In a topic list in each forum topices with new replies since your last visit are highlighted and the red number in brackets is the number of new posts. Clicking on the topic subject will take you to the new posts - ientifiable die to the lighter colour of the subject bar. The board should keep track so that you can go into topics then back to the list and when the page reloads it'll show that you've read that individual topic. You can also add a particular thread to your list of favourites using the "Favorite Thread! (toggle)" link at the bottom of the page. When you go to 'My Home' this thread is listed. You can also set a 'reminder' using the small knot-on-finger icon of each post. This also lists in your Home page, but the entry disappears after you've replied to that post. Useful if you're too busy to reply when you skim HoP. Also if you go to your profile page you'll see that there's a "Show all user's posts" link at the bottom. Click on that link and you'll see where you last posted.
Hope this has helped

Posted: Age old philisophical debate: When UCOF says "Never (under any circumstances) take any notice of what I say" this is a self defeating statement. You can't take notice of it because tells you not to if you do, but if you don't then... oh sod it, this is what happens when you take notice of UCOF. My head hurts. I'm going back to the easy stuff - non-existence of time and why nothing as we know it exists...
