(im going to laugh so much is Vanize makes a singles topic at the same time! lol!)

Rougie: but that's what I'm doing here
Arnwyn: what letting me adjust myself in your room?..don't you dare quote that on HoP...

damn i hate singledom, but i hate being tied down too. i like having somebody there when i need them, but i like my own personal space......i think i'm destined to a life of confusion. and i wouldn't mind, but being bisexual, my choice is huuuuuuge and i still can't find somebody!

I dunno... personally I think it's bad style if a friend ignores you just because you told them you fancy them. It doesn't hurt anyone to say something like "sorry, I don't fancy you back, and I'm feeling a little awkward now, but give me some time and we'll be back to normal if you like".

If people said what they thought more often (in a polite and friendly way...!) we'd all be used to it and there'd be less problems.

Dont you think it might be really hard for that person to say that, like i'm not condoneing it, but some people may feel like, oh i dont wanna just say to him that i dont fancy him, so if i ignore him it might go away?

crude explanation, but ya know wat i mean?

I know what you mean, it's common behaviour, but I think it's both stupid and wrong.

If you're friends with someone, do you really think they won't notice or be hurt when you ignore them?!?

In my experience being honest works much better than being evasive, it's easier to stay friends (or draw a line) when you don't have to worry about what the other person might have thought but not said or felt but not expressed or wanted to say but they were to shy or scared of hurting you.

btw... Wagamama cake? Hmmmmmmm bounce Will be through in Glasgow next week, and shall have to see if I can find the wagamama there and have more coconut chilli soup!! And maybe wasabi choccie cake smile

there's always suspicion on both sides that The Conversation will get repeated and more embarrasment will follow. The easy option is to break off contact, but that can often be more hurtful to both parties.

That's what I mean... I wouldn't have thought that anyone would be tempted to say "sooo... remember how you didn't fancy me back in August? What about now then?"

If someone means a lot to you as a friend, would you really rather lose them completely just because they find you attractive? No way for me.

edit: Just listening to a BellX1 song with strangely fitting lyrics... "friendly fire still burns" ubblol

Hey, I'm not always brave redface I wish I could be more open about when I'm the one who fancies someone, but I'm working on that.

But at least I'm semi-decent to my friends biggrin

I don't think losing a friend is easy... though I suppose wanting someone to still be your friend when you've rejected them is a bit harsh, too.

Going single to a prom/formal is often the better way to do things.
I invited someone ad-hoc to my year 12 formal (Australian equivalent of a prom) and it was a nightmare. She latched onto somebody else for 3/4 of the night. Her loss ubblol

Have a great night!
