though to get the ikkle violins going, I then got stuck living with them banging away in the room above for a year..

I dunno, I seem to act exactly the same offline as I do online. I hate lying to people about who I am, and I definatley want to meet some of you guys one day so I dont want anyone to be dissapointed...

I guess I'm just me online, and just me offline, but I imagine I come across in different ways in both cause they're different forms of communication. Online, I can choose when to post and take a lot longer to consider what to say, wheras in person in conversation, you can't take as long as you like formulating a reply.
Also, online doesn't take into account body language and tone of voice... Still, I go with Yakumo on this on, online I'm mostly how I'd like to be offline.

Actually that's a really good point! My posts tend to be few and far between, unless I think I actually have something to say, or I'm hammered. Or I'm waffling, which happens a lot when I'm trying to fill an awkward silence....

Not really... do you mean that because people post in between my posts that means I'm shy because if I wasn't there would be no time for them to say anything, or that because I say something that people actually reply to I'm not shy? Cause in that case, most people on this thread would be similarly shy or unshy. I think I'm being seriously stupid here, but I just don't get it. And it's a Friday and I have to be at work but there's actually no work to do right now.
