We are the music makers, We are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;

We are the movers and shakers of the world for ever, it seems.

Well, the first weekend I'm not otherwise engaged is middle of September. I'll happily join you then smile

That also means by the time I join you should already have some of the preliminary work done biggrin

yeah, start a multiples thread, my potential new boy wants to "meet my friends", so maybe after a few more meeting-up-at-weekends I'll be not quite single anymore. Though he still lives inconveniently far away! ubblol

er, I am learning that there are some things worth suffering country music for... wink
lol

Actually, he has been at my place the whole time, and I dont have any country music whatsoever, not even Johnny Cash, but no complaints so far. He is really quite an amazing delightful man.

It's just I seem to have a few men in my life right now, and I can't decide. eek In fact, have not decided I want any at all! Oops. Like my privacy too much, and still learning the pleasures of being single - er not exactly single, but independant? Multiple? I guess. I was married for an awfully large portion of my life. Maybe just catching up on freedom.

Enjoying all the guys, but it kind of interferes with my art, work and alone time. Can't have that! Trying to figure out a balance.

So, will just do multiples for a while, as long as they let me...
biggrin

Birgit, make sure you appreciate the personal space long distance offers you! Maybe it is really the best of both worlds, you have love and affection, but all the time and privacy you want when you want it... As long as you do see each other frequently enough !

Good luck, see ya in the multiples thread when I get around to starting it!~

One thing I've learned is that having complimentary music tastes isn't the key to a good relationship. In fact I've noticed that most guys who are into what I've been into are complete ignorant, conceited tw*ts. I even get extremely bored about talking the stuff I love! There's only so much mileage you can get out of a relationship that consists of 'I love XXX!!' 'Me Too!' '......'

Anyway, I'm single, have been for a few months (well with my last relationship, it could be argued that it's been longer!) and I am at peace with that. I've accepted that I'm too much of a headcase to truly gel with anyone and just gonna go with the flow!

Andrea, to be absolutely honest, with being in the last year of the PhD AND spinning AND juggling AND singing AND the guitar and the bass, I would be quite crap at a "proper" relationship right now. Whereas I can manage to get the odd weekend off and work late hours during the week to make up for it...

I'll have to see what happens though, we'll only meet for the 2nd time and I don't know what he's really thinking (in addition to not being sure what *I* want yet), so I'll give it more time and cross bridges (or not) when getting there. It's not like there's no interesting alternatives just in case wink

I completely understand where you're coming from, when I was out of my not married but very intense caged-in relationship a few years ago it was so good to just go and do whatever I felt like smile Enjoy it to the max biggrin As long as they all know they're part of a multiple of course wink

mmm... singledom... I'm still kinda hooked on the freedom, and not sure after a 10 year marriage I'll ever be ready to fully give that up again...

...but this last week... when I reckon, singledom sucks most... is when you're sick... nothing to go home to shnuggle with but a big teddy bear... don't get me wrong, I love reggie (my big teddy bear), but it's not the same...
