ok so i thought i'd post a little clip of me spinning. it's not very long, and i'm not all that good but it's something.

i downloaded it, tried playing it and all i got was a black window, but the sound was working ok.
so i upgraded from divx 5.1 to the newest version - 5.1.1 and that made no difference.
so i think there's something wrong with the video. (unless it works ok for everyone else)

hmm, i tried to download it and made sure first it worked before i posted (my friend has the hard copy of it for his site, i don't). worked ok for me, so i dunno?

I open it up and I get a cute little advertising message saying "The Trial Period Has Expired!"
I believe the program you used to make the video was a trial version and after a period of time the videos are no longer playable. Find a different program to capture your footage, would be my suggestion to get by this hurdle.
What hits the fan is not evenly distributed.

I just downloaded your video, pounce,,and it worked just fine in my real 1 player,,,,,looks great,,,,,love that fast spinning at the end,,,,keep it up

hmm so didnt work for one other person, but it did for another.
i tried it in realplayer and that didnt work.

tried downloading both the poi vids on that site again and same thing happens for both - blank window, just the sound plays, except when i try with the divx player which wont even play them at all.
cant u re-encode it as a normal mpeg or will that take too much space?

we just used his digi camera to record the footage. i don't have the hard copy and it's not my site, so i can't do anything about re-encoding it. i opened it with winamp just fine. maybe it depends on the program?? i'm not very well-versed in this stuff.

Worked fine for me. All 3 of em. If you got the latest DivX codecs installed and it still doesnt work, try getting the Nimo codec pack. Thats the only other codec I got so thats gotta be the one that makes it work.
Let's turn those old bridges we crossed into ashes.
