had an idea to day.

i want to start a community of jugglers, spinners and more.

All i want is any ideas on how i can get my hands on a large plot of land,
Has to be in a warm part of the world.
And has to have room to build a place for all the family

I'll enjoy your input peace

not just a good idea, its my dream.
cant take living in a westernised country for much longer, everything is fake and wasteful and crappy i hate it here, i have a long seated desire to get out.
if i find the place you are on about ill mail you.
how wonderful would that be, eat what you grow, live where you build, no tax no crappy pre processed food, lets face it most of the time you dont know what you eat.

A juggling community? Sounds lovely.

But look deeper and the terrible flipside of this apparently innocent vision appears...

The oft discussed threat of a spinner\juggler civil war would become far more than mere speculation were the two parties to be forced together in this way. An uneasy peace exists between the factions when confined to Workshop meets, but in communal dormitories and showers? Bedlam, i assure you.

i've heard that idea before somewhere...

ah yes - it was from you i believe smile

the hills in india would be nice.
as would somewhere in south america (lots of juggling conventions in summer too).

unfortunately i have absolutely no knowledge of real estate in either of these two countries frown
i'm guessing they're both cheaper than here though...

are you thinking permanent community in the monastic style or a permanent open community, available as a base for those jugglers looking for a 'long-term retreat'?

ooh, and it'll have to be somewhere with lots of room if you're gonna let dirty poi spinners in wink tongue

give me two years and i'll be there with you ubblove

i'll get more info and get in touch mr nearlysevenballjuggler.

Wait for the under water volcanoes to produce more land, then lay claim to it put a jugglers/spinners flag up and claim it. Then gradually introduce life to the island. Be wary though, you'll probably need lifeboats for every little eruption and so many precautions. Hey, told you it was a dream....

Ahh but there is a darker side to all this!

Have any of you read 'The Beach' by Alex Garland?

Look what happened there, a heavenly community of like-minded people on a beautiful paradise island, and it all went pear shaped coz they were sooooo adamant to keep it at any cost which is probably what would happen with a community of jugglers/spinners.

Be careful what you wish for... it might come back and bite you in the bum when least expecting it! eek

Tho in theory is a really good idea! biggrin

also was made into a movie for those lazy people who don't read

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.
