The safety section on this webpage covers everything. Read it and you should be ok. The biggest safety issue in my opinion is having someone with you so they can put out the flame if something goes wrong. Have fun!! The first time you light up is a great experience and if you can film it that would be great. Always fun to watch months from now when your a pro at this!!!!

Leather welding gloves! (OK, I'll shut up about my dang gloves..)Honestly, it's not just about how fast you can put the flame out, especially with metal chains. The chains will get hot enough to burn flesh long after the flame has gone out. Even though clothing. You really want some way to untangle the chains quickly... if only there were some way for your safety to shield their hands... winkAfter seeing Nomad's I'm going to have to make my own too... smile
