i don't know about the rest of you, but I find that once the weather gets cold and damp, I kind of lose my drive to get out there and spin. Fire sure helps when it's freezing but I also find that there isn't as much of an audience for it on the streets.
Anyone know how I can remind myself how great it is to spin, bad weather or not? ubblove

Whoop! Rut has officially been left behind. A friend of mine is taking a photography course in collage and she had to take night shots for an assignment, so she asked Flipmodius and myself to spin for her. She took about twenty shots of us spinning fire (myself with poi, Flip with rope dart). I think most of them were extended exposure, up to 15 seconds so there should be some very interesting shots. They'll be in black and white, but when she develops them I'll post them in my gallery.

No winter spinning for me- you maritimers might have cold, wet winters, but us, er... mountainers (I live in the Rockies) have -40 degree- Celcius- weather... And two feet of snow... As of about a week ago... *glares out window*

So, yeah, it's much too cold and snow-ful for me to spin outside during winter... (Luckily my room is big enough to spin in!)

Random topic: *is testing out her avatar for the first time* Whoo-whoo!

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Warm rain wouldn't be too bad, I already love dancing in it. However, the only rain we'd get this time of year is freezing rain, which, I'm sure you can tell by the name, is a whole lot of no fun. It would be miserable and unhealthy, so I'll save the rain spinning for midsummer.

**giggles** bobo you are so cute!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Hehehee, allrighty then pounce, if ya say so.

But still, today, it was so nice, I woke up, looked out the window, and it was gorgous... I seriously thought it was summer again!

(When you wake up after three hours of sleep or so, you tend to think things like that)

But it ended up raining again... Gah, where is my fooking snow?!?!

*lopes about trying to look mad*

I started this in the late fall! I have room in the basement to do a lot of moves but it has a low ceiling, so during class breaks I do it in the hallway to take advantage of high ceilings at the college.

And this is Michigan: buttloads of snow and bonechilling cold. Everything was shut down on Wednesday, including about forty miles of highway for a while. That being said I did go outside on break from class last night and spin in the snow. Blue LED poi and snow is glorious for about five minutes. Then it's miserable. Does anyone have a good suggestion as to gloves? My winter gloves are too thick to use with my poi handles.

I have Fingerless gloves, but it's just too censored cold outside.

And with that weather, the weather is pissing me off so much, it got got Fall type weather for a while and I was getting happy. then BOOM! We get piled with snow.

The only luck is bad luck.

Shut up before I stall my poi up your ass grin
