Posted: I got an A+. But I got 9/10. That should be an A-. Dumbasses. Speaking of quizzes. Has anyone ever seriosly taken a Myers-Briggs personality test? I took one and studied it for a few days in Grad School. It's a psychological personality test. Kind of like a "Cosmo quiz" mixed with some actual psychoanalytical science. It also has the breakdown of the types of people that fall into each category. I tried in vain to find a good link but only found:www.advisorteam.com/user/login.aspIt doesn't give you a FULL report unless you pay them $15 but you do get to take the test and get a brief report...(don't, buy the book if you really want to know "Please Undertand Me")It honestly changed my outlook on people. I realized that my "judgemental, logical, thinking" way of looking at the world wasn't the "right" way but merely one of many ways. (A big step for a judgemental, logical, thinker!)My report is scarily true:The Guardian Portrait All Guardians (SJs) share the following core characteristics: Guardians pride themselves on being dependable, helpful, and hard-working. Guardians make loyal mates, responsible parents, and stabilizing leaders. Guardians tend to be dutiful, cautious, humble, and focused on credentials and traditions. Guardians are concerned citizens who trust authority, join groups, seek security, prize gratitude, and dream of meting out justice. Guardians are the cornerstone of society, for they are the temperament given to serving and preserving our most important social institutions. Guardians have natural talent in managing goods and services--from supervision to maintenance and supply--and they use all their skills to keep things running smoothly in their families, communities, schools, churches, hospitals, and businesses. Guardians make up as much as 40 to 45 percent of the population.Excerpted from Please Understand Me II I'm sure there's somewhere else online you can find the full report for free, I just can't find it right now...Again, I don't know how much stock I put into the results, but find it quite interesting that there are people who would answer the questions so differently. For example, OF COURSE I like to work to deadlines but it's OK if not everyone does, OF COURSE I am task oriented but it's OK if not everyone is...I used to put judgement into those who thought differently than me. Now I realize that it's just a different way of thinking.(I've either kick started this thread or put it to sleep... I'm betting on the latter. )
Well, shall we go? Yes, let's go. [They do not move.]
