Hey all, this is weird but I need help from the global friends for my sons school project.

He is reading a book at school about a boy who gets flattened by a chalkboard and mails himself around the world. The class is going to draw pictures of themselves, write a letter and mail it off around the world. Whomever gets the letter is supposed to send a postcard to the address on the letter (to my sons class at the school) and then send the letter on to someone else.
Whoever has the picture and letter in May is to send it back to the school, because that is when it ends. They are going to track the postcards and see whose letter made it the farthest.
It doesn't require a whole lot but it definately requires a commitment to follow through on this, and I would absolutely love for any HoPpers to take part in it that would be interested. I think it is an awesome chance for Noah to get to know a little more about who I am talking with when on here!

If you would be interested, please post here and I will email you with further details. Thanks so much!

Can someone give me an update please? From Dyke Boy it is supposed to go to some people not on the thread list, and I received some inquiries as to who has him now?

Thanks! Noah is really enjoying getting the cards!

So where is the letter right now? Kazeko and I are anxiously awaiting this letter.

ah and...
My city has care pack thingies with post cards, pins, info leaflets, etc... for stuff like this. They basically contain all that is Kamloops in them. Lots of cities have these I'm told. So those on the list might want to check at their city hall for them.

I emailed Funky Monkey, here's to hoping.

If not...We can somewhat start it beginning where it left off....
I can send the info about it via computer if someone has a printer.

Thanks for the continuing interest and patience!

Update on the situation:-

I received Flat Noah on Tuesday night, and he is now once again in the post. I have been keeping Pele uptodate with progress.

From here, he is heading towards Shepherds Bush in London (don't wanna give away your real name, and I'm not too sure of your HoP alias), and then Pele has asked that Flat Noah be sent away from the UK, as he's spent quite a large proportion of his time traversing our loverly country.

From Shepherds Bush it onwards to Vanize in Berlin, Narr in Oman (but I think she's departing early April, needs to get there quickly or else she'll not be there to reply eek) then onto Beth in Australia.

For the people who were on the UK list, I have your names and address' still, if there is time after Noah has reached Oz, he may be sent via the UK on his way home.

So, thats where we're upto presently.

I'm hoping Flat Noah will have arrived at his next desitnation tomorrow morning - if not then it should be Monday for sure.

Good Luck and Safe Journey to Flat Noah.

Because of the success of this, and interest in it, Noah's teacher has suggested that even after the May report it be kept going through the summer (the mailing address would change), and then what she would like is to get with the 4th grade teacher to make it a big group thing in the end, possibly. So for those of you who want to take part, even after the deadline, let me know and we can just keep it sailing around the globe to anyone who wants it to see what happens. However, that is up to you all, since it would no longer involve direct contact for a few months with the school.

Thanks Sir Sheep! I appreciate your help tremendously...and everyone else too! You all rock!

hug
