Posted:My only fire video: 'The Joy of Staff'.

cus every family needs to experience the joy of staff.

dude, you don't wanna know how long i spent thinking up names worse than that!

It's moi performing several doubles sets.

details, credits and links are at the download page.

Only the 4.6Mb low resolution version & the 12.4Mb higher resolution versions are now up, due to the efforts of flid, smallboy and above all jez for storing the fat version.

credits are also due for the firey Zoltar and the loverly katey for filming this piece. i love youse!

all you need to twirl staff is a staff smile

Um this video has been lost of a few year, and now it's been reuploaded... to youtube smile

PM me if you're interested.

Posted:oh cass, you do have div-x installed, but it has to be the newest version (5.0.5), and yes there's a greater chance of it working if you play it through the Div-X player, as opposed to the standard media player youse get with windows.
The small amount of vibile footage is the 'poster frames' I deliberately created little poster framing to reduce file size.
Great to hear from yoo again! videos aren't the same without your cool voice heckling..

Hiya Mr Dan! thanks for the comment, although i have to only do a 1/2 setup for the bfly kick (so as not to stop the flow of fwirlage) so i only get half the height/rotation. Chris Morant (the doubles twirler who i looketh up to the most) would kill me for such shortcuts

Jo and Dio, there's heaps more footage i is got, but they are even darker and have passers-by blocking stuff.. it's funny how hard it is to create useable footage, but the learning curve begins

Senore Zoltar,
the footage was shot by Zoltar,
the grafficx were done in Fireworks MX, 3D Studio MAX 4.0, composited in Photoshop 6.5. The video was tweaked in After Effects 5.0, composited in Premiere 6.0.

I will be definitely releasing footage of november EC, but ima not sure about before that (i have to burrow my bro's camera every time and hence don't wanna take too many trips to the well!) The cameras we used are very very similar, the rest of the footage was shot on a MV600i!

until then, ima releasing just small .gif animations for the tutorial site..

Posted:erm, yes mr dantana, i calls em a (wrapping) neck swaps. Each combination performed on the video is simply executing a series of different variations of the same movement as that found in the wrapping swaps tutorial.
It's a tasty way of transitioning into a double BTB palmspin.

Mr Dio, although the areobatics component of that kick looks like a butterfly kick, i do not perform the two-step launch, meaning that i don't really have the right to call it a butterfly kick.
dispensing with a two step launch halves the rotational speed and power from a bfly kick, but makes for a move that interrupts flowing movement the least. You are right though, it probably would be nice to have a lesson - perhaps it should be called 'bfly kick (short launch)' It would be more useful to teach the proper blfy kick too, becuase it's easier to pull off. aw poo now i dunno what to do!

Mr Fallout, the stress of no more Buffy has gotten too much to bear hey?

Also letting you know that the download page at the top of this thread does not link to the hi-res version, you have to follow a couple of links first until you find it.
