It's a braid I use quite a lot cos it's fast and easy to do once you've got the hang of it, and it gives a nice symmetrical round profile.

Posted:The standard three-way plait will result in the string being flattened. By using the method Dave posted above, you end with a circular cross-section, which is soooooo much nicer to spin with.
