this is not a 'help' post but i just wanted to share.. im very new to practising poi but just today i discovered that it works sooo well for me if i close my eyes (i dont use fire). well maybe this is not a 'discovery' but surely it is for mee!! so has anyone already tried it?

Practicing with closed eyes seems to enhance "body memory" which makes the motions more natural and inherent within you, and not visually based, which means you have to pay attention to what your are doing.
