About 2 weeks to go to release on VHS. DVD is going to be delayed a little later (next month)
After a lot of hassles I am finally quite pleased with what it is going to be.

Can't wait! Just in time, too. Should get my copies before I leave the country, I was getting a bit worried that I wasn't going to see this for another ten months! A little dissappointed by the lack of Jedi White on this one, his clips on the previous three have been a huge inspiration to me. Guess this mean the standard must be pretty damn good this time
to everyone featured, and those who just missed out! Tom, can't wait to see what you've come up with in the past year!

I am quit a bit surprised to not see jedi white on the list as well. He has always been a great inspiration to me ever since the first time I saw his spinning style, The standards must certainly be high indeed.

Much love to those who didn't make it in, thank's for trying.

Remember.

It is better to have tried and failed than to have never tried at all.

I didn't every want to do this :-(

I agree Jedi White has been a very inspirational spinner for a lot of people. His style is very unique and demonstrates a lot of personal development, rather than following a "cookie cutter" style or mimicking that of others.

I wouldn't say those who didn't make it in "failed" though. Malcolm explained several reasons for not including clips, such as poor lighting or focus issues - things that really don't reflect on the spinner's skill level, but do reflect on their ability to be featured on a video whose primary goal is instruction and inspiration. Just seeing a couple blurry yellow dots flying in circles doesn't really help me to learn how to do whatever the person is demonstrating for me

I'm not entirely familiar with the roster, but it would be nice to get maybe a chart or something showing just how many spinners in this one have been featured on previous CoL videos. I just started spinning right around the conclusion of the CoL3 submissions, so I wasn't really up-to-speed on the Who's Who list of fire spinners. Never got around to buying the earlier editions myself because I wasn't much of an active member of the community and I was able to learn much much more from Dantana (my teacher) in person than on video. Is there some sort of compiled list for the featured performers on previous videos? Checking the HoP Shop shows the vids for sale but I don't recall seeing listings anywhere. Maybe I'm just having a blind moment again

well done to everyone who got in!!! And seeing who was listed (pretty tough competition ) I am fairly certain that there were a lot of excellent ones that didn't make it in. So congrats to them too.

malcolm, yeah the videoing be quite the mission: cheap DV cameras tend to have CCD's that capture less light than buried treasure. I hope you had not too much diff in upping the gamma levels/brighteness of said entries.

COL 2: Wrath of Khan
COL 3: The Parrafin Menace
COL 4: I still know what you burnt last summer.
