It depends on what you want. If you want to win the $1000 then you'd better be able to show up Sage. If you want to make the video then enter if you can spin for 5 minuits without hitting yourself while changing from trick to trick. From my own experiance, and from watching people I've tought you probably should have about 3-6 months experiance.

Having said that, why wouldn't you send in a video? The only way to know for sure if you can make it is to send in your entry

well winning the $1000 or showing up sage were never really on the cards! i just wondered about chances of actually getting on the video as i have very limited time to blag a video recorder, learn to use editing software etc etc.

i been spinning 3 months so i might as well try and blag a place.

based on my own observations: If you can do all the tricks listed in the tutorial section of this site (except for btb weave) and move between them all fluidly, and don't do any one move moe than twice in a row, then you probably have a better than 50% chance at making onto the video. If you can throw in a little extra moves and dance (dance meaning any form of bodily movement, even if it is just flowing with the poi) then you probably have about a 95% chance of making it. Of course it also depends on how many people send in entries this time, and there have been more people for each video.

You will never know if you don't try though.

It is better to have tried and failed than to never have tried at all.

well after the advice of dj dantana, i will definately send the vid in. if not just to have something i can give to distant realatives for a cheap christmans prezzie!

ps: i am worried by the smurf comment, please get some help, please.

i have nothing against smurfs, they are both fun and blue. but people having smurfs UNDER them i object to, surely there are laws against that kinda thing?

yeah, there should be laws against smurfs, so hard to dodge!
dodging them is like dodging small dog poos, only they're blue, not brown.
