yeh variety be good. especially environmental settings! i looooved that fireset against a forest cliff - it looked fantastic! NZ is frikin beautiful too - Shibaki's fascinated crowd - the rave crowds... it's nice sometimes to watch the watchers...
thanks again, malcolm, for successfully pulling off another COL vid. I know at least for my part that my entry was very late, very long and indexed with handwriting that is reminiscent of a madman. and Malcolm still emailed me with a confirmation just to settle me kettle! for that I would have been satisfied with any video, but now that i have seen it, he's pulled out all the stops too!
/wonders if the special edition will have Jabba the Hutt walking around....

Just got the tape and WOW! Great job Malcolm, i especially liked how it ended with Bender smashing the screen and i like how you included the audience "your pants are on fire" part with Shibaki! Nice editing!
Shibaki... you are inspirational! I love the way you flow, it's really beautiful
Skunk... if those are the older moves, i can't wait to see what you're doing now! Wild! Love the rooftop bit, nice setting with the city.
I dunno, i loved it all! Everyone was really so awesome, thank you!
Going to watch again.....
Maybe next year i'll be somewhat worthy of entrance.....

No-one's truly unworthy!!!! don't make me force you to feel better about yaself man!!! remember: tape worthiness isn't exclusively the result of the maddest skill - tape ya twirl somewhere nice, like on a 400m high mesa, or a bah mitzfah - I would imagine that the intention of the tape is to show the beauty of fireness, not just of skillness.

as for COL 4....
Ima gunna do a comedy skit for the next one!!
::huge evil grin::
imagine a COL 4 chapter on HoP people being (legally) funny with fire....
current idea is 'send up of an infamous movie scene'

(ps it took ages to clean up from that screen smash at the end of the vid. sharp as pixels they were! )

My group (A.N.T.H.E.L.I.O.N) is featured on COL3, but we unfortunately did not have the time to edit our video footage before the deadline and sent in 30 minutes of raw footage. Malcolm did a great job at picking some of the good parts from those 30 minutes, thanks again and sorry we made your job harder.

Now, if you would like to see what we would have sent if we had had the time to edit it, go to www.anthelion.org, then Gallery, then Video. It's a big file but it streams well on a fast connection.

I would love to hear any feedback.

Thanks!

Nomad

heyas pyre, have you used flash MX? it's cool to find another person with exactly the same experience!! I specialise in activescripting, and it's the funkiest thing to produce in for people with a background in graphic design & C++ programming. I also render 3d straight to frames of flash vectors. yum
I lost my pocket protector tho

Oh see, now I feel badly. I had no idea that people sent in such volumes of unedited raw footage.

I think I mentioned it before for CoL3 but maybe it will work for 4... People should send in 2:00 (perhaps 3:00) of their best stuff. Then all Malcolm has to do is stick the best together and add music and he's done.

You're workin' too hard Malcolm!

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.
