I was given a fire-hack from a guy in australia- on my way to byron. he was just starting to sell them- calling them "hot-sacks" anyways- I still have it but it got a hole in it- lost rocks from inside and haven't been able to repair it with something that stands up to the fire.

has anyone else seen one of these? I would love one that doesn't fall apart. Ideas for repair?

cheers,

brian

There is an old thread about these that might come up if you do a search. It talked alot about ways different people made them, though this was a few years ago and I am sure that it has been revised a bit.

Have you tried Kevlar patches?

crochet, or darn the hole using the fraying ends off a new piece of wick, works well.
