Posted:Ok, here's the deal. I am stuck in this little village in Tamil Nadu in

south India . Yesterday I bought some really nice Indian silk to

make some flags out of. The problem , they don't seem to have curtain

weights or lead thread here . I need an alternative. Any bright

idea's. Hope everyones well and groovy .

coat ~1" in glue and roll up to hold something heavy, rocks? metal stud pieces?

hmm, wire? that might be cool.

glue wood dowels to edges?

fold up the edges and put rivets every inch?

hmm, let us know how this turns out!! how much is silk in india btw?

Posted:I think it would only fly iffy if winds was able to get into the top seam and push them apart making a windsock type of thing.. I'm sure it all the seams all around were stitched tightly and close together - the wind theoretically should push the two sheets together.. shouldn't it?
