I have an event to go to and my ISO is all out and getting a shipment of iso won't make it on time...
So my question is
if I just use isopropyl will I get just as long of a burn?

Longer that what?

Isopropyl is pretty quick.

Longest burn is Lamp oil.
Whitegas is really short.

The rest I've never timed.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

Although If you put a little bit of white gass in your lamp oil mix, and you can get it started quickly.

As for a burnning time, Lamp oil and Karosieen are the longest burnning, but hard to start. Karo is a bit smelly though, if you want to mingle after the show use lamp oil.

You can get lamp oil just about anywhere. that is your best bet.

I concur. Lamp oil can sometimes last almost twice as long as kero and is much cleaner burning.

Is your event outdoors? Meths and other alcohol-based fuels, in my experience, don't have the bright flames that petrol-based fuels do, so they're not as spectacular outdoors.

Man, it's cold in here.

My event is outdoors and I use Isopropanol because it produces clean air while it burns.
But then again I spin FireCountach and the directions say not to use LAMP on it........
hmmm, I guess isopropanol and isopropyl arn't that different so, you know what? I'm just going to go test it right now....actually, I'm a

I think biodiesal actually has the longest burn time.

UPDATE!!!!
hehe. Like NYC posted there is no difference
iso is iso so the percentage is just how concentrated it is.

Isopropyl Alcohol = Isopropanol

The "-ol" ending tells that it is an alcohol.

CH3OH = Methanol = Methyl Alcohol
C2H5OH = Ethanol = Ethyl Alcohol
C3H7OH = Propanol = Propyl Alcohol (arranged in a certain way is "Iso")
C4H9OH = Butanol = Butyl Alcohol

(Sorry, got teaching in my blood)

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.
