Posted: Just wanting 2 know what ya'll thought of hybrid wicks...good..bad?? If anyone uses them, what are their burn times..big flame or small. What types of materials would one use to make a hybrid wick...I was thinking of denim and kevlar..maybe so..maybe not.

Woody has also used this method to make some fire rope from his chains to quite good effect.

Posted: Mark, did you just put some denim under your kevlar? i've been considering doing that with some fireheads, just a thicker-layered variation on the "hybrid" idea, and if the denim's not right under the top layer, especially (or did you put it there too?) i imagine it won't degrade so fast inside the bundle...?
molten cheers,
