I know the topic of costumes has been discussed in MANY previous threads. (Yes, I just did a search..hehe)However what I'm looking for is actual pictures of various people's costumes. I am interested in creating a few costumes for my personal use. As we all know the saying "A picture is worth a 1,000 words"...So if anyone has any pictures of themselves(or others) in costume, I would be greatly interested in seeing them. If you do not have your picture hosted anywhere(and thus cant provide a URL), I will provide hosting space for them so that you may share them with everyone else here. If you do not wish you picture to be hosted, you may email or send them via AIM to me. thanks!ÇRÐ / MaxAIM SN: CrazyGuy42Email: shouden@guilds.com

Rex and CRD, I think the reason this thread is not riddled with posts is that its possible to interpret the opening post as meaning...-----------Can you guys all post pictures of your costumes so I can copy them?-----------My costume is a simplistic but effective red and black scheme, but to be honest, I'd be really peeved if someone got a picture of me off the net and copied my look for their own performances.I'm pretty sure that CRD was just intending on getting a few ideas, the downfall of asking people on a BB as opposed to email, is that you aren't the only one who can read the answers. This leaves us open to other people with less imagination and morals to copy completely.Hopefully CRD has already had enough emails to help him out though...Personally, it might be better to decide on a certain look and then find safe materials to achieve that look with. All IMHO of course...------------------Charles (INFERNO)newdolbel@hotmail.comhttps://juggling.co.nz[This message has been edited by Charles (edited 24 January 2002).]

Here Here Charles, and well put!If you want ideas, first decide what the look you are going for is and then watch movies, videos, look through magazines or coffee table picture books (love the fantacy ones) for specific ideas. Once you have those write them down (or draw if you are artistically inclined) and head to your local sewing/fabric/craft store. There you will find pattern books that will help you make what you want. If not, head to costume and theater suppliers or seamstresses for what you can't do on your own. At least the patterns will give you the name of the item with a general idea of what you are going for. It's what I do.------------------Pele Higher, higher burning fire...making music like a choir...https://www.pyromorph.com[This message has been edited by Pele (edited 24 January 2002).]

Ummm. I like to make and wear metal costuming, which is underutilized as a fire-safe material. I'll post some photos for you:https://www.deadflesh.org/fear/fearcamwings3.jpgAnd I make spikey metal bras for the ladies in my troupe. https://www.deadflesh.org/fear/bra1.jpgMaximus
