Does anyone know of any events or gatherings that may be coming up in Cornwall?
It would be great to meet some like-minded people and (try to) further my ability!!

Wahey a fellow Cornish spinner! I live in St Austell and work in Newquay, a few of the guys that I work with are also becoming poi aholics - some sort of gathering needs to be organised! Any Ideas? Where do you normally go to spin??

Id definitely be up for getting a whole big poi meet together, give it a lot of notice so loads of people can come

so far in my spinning life i've never spun with anyone, and as such my poi is a bit retarded! it'd be cool to meet up with some other folks to pick up some tricks.

I will be living back down in dearest Cornhole at the end of this month and it would be great seeing different people spin for once. (i just seem to end up living in as remote a place as possible wherever i go).
I was part of a little gathering last year and we all found that Truro is the easiest place to get to, so do any truronions know any good suggestions?
I know many many places we could go sometime around my way but i live near Penzance, the offers there anyway.
I would be up for it if it is after the end of the month but don't delay the idea.

Early october sounds fine.
Any definate suggestions on where abouts?
We could hit a beach during the afternoon and then burn during the evening. This would give us a chance to swap ideas in the light and then show them off during the burn.

People we have ourselves a gathering!
I may possibly maybe be able to bring a couple of drummers but any kind of music always heightens the fun so guitars, sound system, cazoos whatever would be a good thing.
We could arrange this closer to the time but if we are all on the beach then a bbq or picnic could be called for, but we can sort that out between us later.
I suppose it will be getting dark a little earlier (more burn time! ) and it is nice to meet new faces in the light so we could hook up at five o'clock?
This would give us time to meet, set up, play, eat, and spin!

This is all only a suggestion, and please change rearrange tell me it's a crap idea or agree, it's no skin off my back as long as we all have ourselves a good time sometime somewhere!

Tennis

Plus if any of you guys are around penzance area during any full moon there is always a party on at an amazing place on a hill.

Well, g'day everyone. Very jealous of all your plans and schemes - don't think I'm going to be able to make it for the 5th, but I've been planning to hitch down your way this weekend, maybe spend a week or two wandering around in the sunshine. If any of you feel like meeting up somewhere and having a burn, or just tradin' a few tricks, I'd be glad to meet up with you. I'm foot-loose and fancy-free, as they say, so I can be wherever. I'll check on here again tomorrow, but after that I don't know how much of a chance I'll get to access the net. If you feel like hooking up sometime, my email address is joe_elsewhere@hotmail.com, or my telephone number is 07817 903747. Get in touch, and good luck with everything.

The technology is still in its early stages. There will be accidents.

Pink carnations! i don't think i need any thing added to me to make me look even more girly. But at 6' 4" with stupid mousey gingery blondy hair and constant red eye i don't think i need a sign thing.
I will try to arrive a little earlier and find a nice spot and stick up an outdoor candle or two to let people know where it's at.

So bring cazoos,
bring people,
bring smiles
and things to play with.

Looking forward to seeing you soonish

My friend has some pretty decent speakers. They plug into headphone sockets but are more like home stereo quality and will bellow out just enough noise to spin too, so if you want to bring some tunes that would be kinda decent. Tape/cd. I have a fairly large and eclectic collection so if you want me to bring anything let me know.

Check you later.
