Hey Sparkle-giggle-blossoms!
It’s just about time to sprout new leaves, brake open your cocoon and spread those butterfly wings, open up your bud and bloom into a radiant spring time blossom, take a confident leap out of mumma’s nest, and feel the subtle warmth on your skin as you bask in spring sunshine.:*
Wahay! Springtime is just round the corner… So there’s heaps of yummy fun things to do as you break free from the cold…
*:. Spring Moon Fest happens to fall on September 11th this year, so I thought we could dedicate this one to peace… Without focusing too much on the negative, I think this would be a perfect time to come together for peace and celebrate all that is good and beautiful in this world… Especial now… when things seem dim, we need to hold on to hope and remember that things move in cycles… Things will look brighter… There is still SO much joy, beauty, harmony and love in this world… That’s what this moonfest is about, celebrating life and the beautiful things in it J If you have a performance piece or a bit of fun interactive group therapy dedicated to peace or springtime, that you’d like to share with us at moonfest, the candle circle will be a space just for this between 7 and 9pm… All very casual so just jump in and play… afterwards the circle is open for the usual freeform dance and jam… so don’t forget your drums, fire toys (and fuel), Dancing body and festive spirit for a beautiful night of blissful joy.
*:.Fire Twirling Three Week Course at Jagera Hall in South Brisbane. On Fridays 5th, 12th and 19th September. Cost for the whole 3 weeks is $55. Three Weeks of multilevel technique in staff and poi, fire safety, info on fuels to use, with tutors Elke & Bec who have 8years experience.
*:.The Drumming Retreat Party is on 6th and 7th September …This whole weekend of absolute rhythmic bliss will only cost you the camping fees! Wahay! This drum circle, full of friendly welcoming faces, gathers every Thursday at Roma St Parklands (Celebration Lawn) from 7pm.
*:. The Spring Hill Fair at Water St in Spring Hill is on 13th and 14th September. Loads of market stalls, entertainment, and fun for all.
*:. Pagan Pride Day is on in King George Square, 27th September
*:. The Bellingen Global Festival is on 4th & 5th October and I’m just SO exited I can’t think of what to write here!
*:. The Lunar Loca Moon Festival is on in Maryborough 11th October (Day after Moonfest if your feeling like a nice big drive in the morning…. Like me…arrrrrrrhhhhhg) Will be worth it though… sounds like a beautiful festival from what I’ve heard… * Earth * Fire * River * Moon * Goddess * …there’s some words…hehe…:*
*:. Yungaburra Folk Fest is on 24th, 25th & 26th October in Atherton ~ Cairns
*:. The up coming spring Moon Fest Dates are: * Thursday 11th Sep * Friday 10th October * Sunday 9th November

Hello again...
I was thinking it would be fun to have a .:*Midsummer night's dream*:. themed moonfest!
obviously on the full moon, sometime in summer (would've been good if it was summer solstice... but it doesn't fall on the full moon this year... so that wont work)
What do you guys think???
Hey Puk! You could play Puk! hehe... it'd be so fun to do a little moonfest style performance of *a midsummer nights dream* in the candle circle!....

of corse I'm sirious! ...who else could play puk....but puk? hehe*:.
Was thinking maybe we could just do like a *moonfest-interpritation* of a midsummer night's dream... beacause it's hard to talk without amplification against the outdoors and things... we could do like a movement and musical sceene using all the characters and stuff... a movement piece based on the story line...maybe some words...but mostly just jestures and movment...am I making any scence?
We'd have costumes and props and all fun stuff...
Can I be one of the fairies??? maybe nutmeg or cobweb or something...hehe... and Valura! Maybe you could be Titania, the fairy queen... if arsn is to be the donkey man (am I wrong, or dose the fairy queen fall in lust with the donkey man from the pixiedust of Puk?)... but then we'll need Oberon (I'm not sure how to spell it all) the fairy king, and then the other lovers who get all mixed up in puk-dust*:. And of corse we'll need loads of fairies!!!
So who wants to play!

That's what i was thinking of ! god this will be cool. Im seeing donkey man and titiana later on today . We'll talk then about it but im sure arsn likes the idea of been donkey man in of titiana .

and we're not doing the mid-summer night's moonfest this month, cause it's Spring Moon Fest ... but we're going to play faeries and flutterbys and sparkly pretty things like that for spring... so do come and play too...

Ok... Midsummer's Moonfest will be Tuesday, 9th December (not this moonfest but next) So how do we want to do this thing
shall we just take a snippit of the play... or perhaps we could do a vage interpritation... and cram the general story line into a short movement piece? Coz without the words and stuff I think the story could be told with movement and stuff quite eazily... what do you guys think...
Maybe introducing it... with a narator, and having a few blerbs in there as well perhaps?
We still need some people to play the lovers... and we could always do with more faeries!*:.
