Wed nights after 9ish at twelftree reserve if your driving north of the city along hackney rd, take a left onto richmond st. this should be the street with the hackney hotel on the corner, if not... my bad and look for the hackney hotel. keep driving up the road past the caravan park which should be on your left, and just behind that is twelftree reserve. this should be on the corner of torrens st and richmond st.
Friday nights after about 9ish If there are heavy clouds or it is raining then we will be under the king william street bridge, on the side closest to the city just near "jolley's boathouse".
If there are minimal clouds or the sky is clear them we will be on the patch of grass on the northern side of the bridge. It is just over the bridge, kind of across from the Adelaide oval just off King William Street. You are bound to see the fire!
hope to see some new people soon
Happy spinning everyone

Posted: Hi every one, there is a fun firey meeting on Fri night in Adelaide town.
Here are the details (generously provided by the lovely Gen) which I have cut from the adelaide fire group website (see address above).
dear firey friends,
this friday will be the first day of spring, so to celebrate i thought i would throw a party, a fire twirling party! so all you twirlers out there in this little town called adelaide, get your staff and poi ready to twirl in a night of pure firey madness known as the adelaidefirenight!
this friday i will be making my way into the city (hopefully with the company of some other like minded fire twirlers *wink* *wink*) at about 9pm for a night of fire!
if the night's sky is filled with stars or a little bit of cloud then we will be located on a little grass patch at the corner of War Memorial Drive and King William Streets. This is just over from the Adelaide Oval and a bit down from the Torrens River.
but if the weather is not on our side, ie heavy clouds or even rain, then we will take shelter from the elements under the King William Street Bridge, just near Jolleys Boathouse (on the side closest to the city).
I will be bringing along some crazy tunes, some blankets to keep you guys warm, some candles and some insence. i will also bring along about 10 litres of kero but if you guys feel like partying on then i think a little bit more will be required. i might even bring along some tasty treats to keep your little bellies full and your energy levels high! for all you guys that do not yet have your own twirling equipment i will also be bringing out some staff (single and double) some poi and practice poi!
If there is anything else that you would like me to bring out or if you have any questions then don't hesitate to contact me. you can reach me by email or if you would like, my mobile number is 0438661283.
wow, the beginning of spring already, how exciting! come on guys, all you closet fire twirlers, hiding in the shadows, getting dusty, come out and celebrate the start of spring with us! let's have a fire party in the heart of the city!
looking forward to seeing you all out there! have a great week guys.
in light and love,
gen xx

will the two groups meet up at 9:00?
oops, i got a bit excited! this friday is not the start of spring but the start of august! anyway, we can still have a party!
i'm not sure what is going to happen on friday night anymore, looks like ben has organised something as well!
well, i guess everyone can meet at the rotunda if the weather is nice at about 7pm. Otherwise we will be under the bridge!
For those of you who can't make it out that early, don't worry we should be around for a while!
Ok guys, have a great week.
gen xx

There has been people out every friday for a while now, but there is a bigger crowd that comes out every second week:)
The meeting places are swapping round a bit but if u go to the king william st bridge on a friday night you will find us
either - south side of bridge on the grass near the rotunda - under bridge (if raining) - north side of bridge on the right hand side (if u are comming from the city)
Wherever we are it is easy to find us just look for the flames
Some of the diehard regular crowd will be there from 7:30-8, but most people turn up around 9ish
Happy flammies everyone

Posted: Hi everyone I am not sue who is going tonight. But if anyone if up for a burn the directions for Twelfetree reserve are as follows.
Friday night is definitely happening, from about 7:30 onwards. Come along to the park near the Torrens river adjacent to King William st bridge. It is on the city side of the bridge and we meet near the rotunda (but u should see the flames if u are in the area) If it is rainning we will be under the bridge.
Bring food, blankies, happy vibes, friends, drums etc.
See u there flammy people (I will probably be late, but I will be there )
