Staff, Poi & Lazin' In Guildford

Well, after the fun and jolly-fications of SPOC, we (Stix & I) thought we should do Guildford gathering.

Here's the plan so far:
Meet in Guildford - 3pm
Spin poi on Island by Scruffy Murphy's, until whenever Click HEREfor a map
Party afterwards

We had 35 people come down to our G'ford night so numbers could be very large

Any thoughts?

Having turned my brain on, I've thought.

The 17th would be cool as it's the day after my birthday.

I can't make the 10th (which is just a personal thing, I'm sure it can go ahead without me...)

I'll be well up for that! try and actually make it this time There's gonna be a free party somewhere on the 17th so maybe depending on where it is we could all go off to that afterwards. A freind of mine runs the rig called Turbulence and he's pissing off to Thailand for 6 months (lucky bastard!) so it's a big send off for him. Just thought I'd mention it as a possible party venue.

Well, it looks like the main contenders are either the 10th or the 17th.
Lets be non-american and have a vote about it

I'd prefer the 17th - So I can come

10th is better for me, but i can make the 17th, provided I don't go out and get smashed that night. I got an exam on the 20th and i only went to a couple of the lectures for it, so i really need to study. I made the mistake of going out clubbing/to parties during alevel exams and i'm not going to comment on the results i got

if it's a saturday i can go to clapham common the following day on my way back to uni.

I'm easy as to which day it is. As I said before there is a free party on the 17th as well so if peeps want to go to that then obviously the 17th would be a better day. But it doesn't really matter which day it is.

Is anyone going to make a decision as to what day this is going to happen?? I say we have it on the 17th. Were? not too sure, but Stoke Park might be nice - I'll leave the choice of venue up to someone who knows the area a little better.

As Durbs is off for a jolly with his misses.. I'll make the decision..

The 17th.. Either Stoke Park or the one down the road from Debhanhams.. or the little bit by Scruffies and the canal..

so date decided but venue still shakey.. I vote for the canel.. coz it's close to the pub.. and it's a bit of a fairy glen... me like faires..

From London:

By Train - Waterloo -> Guildford

By Car - Jump on the A3 towards Portsmouth and erm, well that's about it! The A3 goes right through Guildford so come off there. It can be a bit of a 'mare trying to park in Town.
Click HERE for a map of the area. There are carparks at both ends of "Millmead" (Pay & Display) or there's also a big multistory by the station, it's all well signposted.
Where we'll be spinning is just at the end of "Millmead", across the river and on that yellow bit on the map

Hope to see you all there!

Well - if we make it "after lunch" then people can save some cash. Perhaps say 3pm in Scruffy Murphy's (if it's still open - I heard a rumour it was being taken over ) and then move out about 4?

Well, I told Lex, Steve and a few others - so that's all good.
I'll draft up some flyery-type things (TM) to hand out, nothing fancy just to jog people's minds and so they can hand them out to.

Wifey might come down for a bit too, although her mum gets back from NZ that day so not sure if she'll be down for long - you'll finally get to meet her though

I'll try and drag some more friends down too, please, please, please let it be sunny

F.F. - I think quite a few people are going to that Liquid Connective thingy, so you won't be alone amongst the messy ones But it'd be great if you came down, the more the merrier
The Thursday thing's been going on for about 2 1/2 years now I think

It'd be a good way to recover anyway
