Saw on the news this morning that Glastonbury is going ahead again this year despite protests...

Apparently they are spending more on security and suchlike. Don't know anything more, alas, as the news report was sketchy on detail.

Don't worry, be happy...

ebay put a policy down last year that the tickets could only be sold at face value.. or was that somewhere else??

i wish they had.
its a very grey area reselling/touting tickets.

its one of those cases where its illegal but lot of people just do it anyway and seem to get away with it.

evidence that some people are just greedy

Michael Eavis has contacted Ebay (just on the news) to ask them to curtail the efforts of the touts.. so hopefully some overly greedy people will be a bit pissed off!

Is it just ebay selling them now, or have authorised ticket agents got some?

It's just ebay that are selling them now. probably the only way to go now is to work. I've got my ticket but i worked last year and they recently sent me the details to work again, so there must still be jobs going. Think ive still got the phone number etc so PM me if anyone wants details about doing recycling there.

People that are going - is everyone from HOP planning to meet up or are u just gonna look out for fellow fire twirlers once ur there?

Only 3 of us from this area managed to get tickets so would be cool to meet up with more!

See u there

i gotta wait a couple of weeks to see if i'm working it or not, if so I'll be definatly up for a meet up. I haven't spun with any experienced spinners since i started at the end off last summer, so should be fun.

Poo.

I was in France with no way of getting a ticket when they went on sale and they were sold out by the time my sister, under strict orders, tried to get one for me.
Since I can't pay anything like what the touts are selling tickets for, and I refuse to pay a tout money on principle, no Glastonbury for me this year

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

If anyone is selling a ticket, or knows of anyone, then i am a very worthy contender. Unfortunatelly after a really heavy weekend in Amsterdam i get serious flue and was bed ridden for a few days so couldn't physically move to buy a ticket; and didn't realise it would sell out in 24hrs.

....fingers crossed we're performing a little fire on the Cabaret stage...
let's organise a phat fire night where we can all meet up...I seem to remember fragmented fire circles last year - then again, I was performing up until early morning every night, so probably missed the big stuff
aaanyhoo....should be a rockin' Glasters..last year kicked ass!

Those of us not staying inthe performers field - shall we try to be in at least the same field? I vote for the Dragon fields.. it's nice there.. not qutie as far to stagger from the stone circle..

Knoxious - I'll agree with the fragmented fire.. personally for me it was due to shyness and a whole load of 'I'm not worthy' as the people I was watching (you probably ) were outstanding.. so I had my poi in my pockets for quite a while - till gary, Strugz and I did the triple wire wool of course.. that was fun..

Ive cancelled glastonbury this year so you will all come to my festival in my garden.

i will be doing a musical perfomance with instruments such as
the guttering
a selection of paint pots
the saw and hammer
my little bell

and many many more, call now for your copy of...oh sorry...thought i was a shitty advert for shitty music tapes on channel 5.

yeh...so you are all comming to my garden indstead of glastonbury...and bring all of glastonbury with you...my garden is big enough...

i will have to move the garden gnomes tho..
