Further info on Sons of Ares for people interested in showing up at the tryout.

Who we are:

Sons of Ares is a San Antonio based fire troupe, it is made up of individuals from various backgrounds.. Leading the pack is Travis, sole proprietor of Blue Light Productions, a fire breather mainly, he experiments in all aspects of fire arts. Michael, a raver with mad spinning skill, ask him to show you his "matrix spin" sometime. Sandra, mainly does contact fire, is learning fans and poi. Jeremy, our local staff artist, has a few years of martial arts training, and has been working his normal staff combat skills into the fire field. Dez, mainly performs contact, is learning fans currently. Michaela, your friendly neighbourhood fire spotter, and all around safety. Joining SoA for shows and to help run things until the return of alex is Trinity (me), fire breather, tester of new tools and ideas, with 7 years of general pyrotechnics experience, and 10 years of safety experience. Sons of Ares are a major component of Fusion Fyre Troupe, as such we have performed with dragontrybe, and various other troupes, individuals, etc.


What do we have set up so far:

feb 14th (friday)
An international art show will be taking place at blue star art gallery, we have been asked to perform, and we are to perform in the art silo area, sponsors will be in attendance.
this is a nonpaying gig but offers great exposure.

feb 15th (saturday)
We have been asked to perform for midian (the annual winter gothic event) at sams burger joint.
our performance is a thetrical fire performance, named midian goes to hell, and once again is a nonpaying gig as Sam's has allowed us to practice there as often as we like. fire performers will recieve free admission, free food, and full access to the event. further information on this event can be found at https://www.nephilimnetwerk.net/
this performance is being billed as a Fusion Fyre Troupe performance, as we will be using various troupes and individuals in the performance.

apr 11-13 (friday through sunday)
We have been approached and have signed a contract for the rivercity bike fest (hotter than hell) tour at camargo park. performers will recieve a vip all access pass for the fest, further information on the fest can be found at https://www.rivercitybikefest.com/rivercitybikefest/index.htm
This is a paying gig (pay to be determined by what SoA is payed).

hopefully this will help out, if you are interested in being a part of SoA, please show up on one of the saturdays, we can really use the help, and are looking for some people that can help us become a better troupe.
