Hey lovely people .... This is the latest moonletter, with updated info for the next moonfest and other happenings around Brisbane and the surrounding district...

Dear Moon Friends…
Red kicked off the rainbow moonfest series beautifully last full moon! To spite the ominous clouds that lurked about, threatening to rain, we did not get a drop! So we were able to continue having fun and being festive as planned. Thanks to all the gorgeous people who came along and created such a beautiful night.
Next moonfest is Orange, on Wednesday 20th November. I thought being a very fiery gathering, orange would be the perfect time to celebrate fire!!! YAY! So bring along all your favourite fiery fun, wear your most orange outfit, and bring some orange fruit to share
The Brisdjembe Retreat is on the Weekend of the 7th and 8th December, this friendly drum circle gathers at Celebration Lawn in Roma St Parklands every Thursday night from 7pm… Everyone is welcome to come along… For more info visit www.brisdjembe.org or just rock up to Roma St Parklands on a Thursday Evening and say G’day!
African Drumming and Dance Camp with WALA is from 17th ~ 23rd December… The camp will be held at Lake Ainsworth Sport & Recreation Centre, situated on the shores of Lake Ainsworth, a beautiful freshwater tee tree lake… The Centre is 2km from Lennox Head and 13km north of Ballina… All fees include accommodation, meals (Vegetarian meals Available), tuition, evening programs & children’s program (children 2 and under are free and must be supervised) Adults Dance OR Drumming for the whole camp is $650, or $750 to do both drumming and dance… To come for just 2 days the fee is $350 (it is preferable to come at the beginning) For Children 12yrs and under for the whole camp with tuition, the fee is $330, no tuition ~ $200, 2 to 4yrs $85… Bookings are Essential Ph: (02) 6687 1910 or visit www.walaislife.com for more info.
Mbira Camp, with Fabio Chivhanda is from November 29th to December 2nd. Bringing the music of the Shona people of Zimbabwe to Mt Nebo. The cost of the Camp depends on Participation from $20. Learn: Singing, Mbira, and Percussion, from beginners to advanced. Mbiras are available for sale. Meals and Camping are available on enquiry. The Woodford Folk Fest is from 27th December ‘till 1st January… Wonderful multicultural Folk Music, Dance, Workshops, Market stalls, Street Theatre, Camping and Lovely Happy Vibes! Fire Twirling Workshop with Bec and Elke Sunday 24th November 4:30 ~7pm $25 at Moora Park on Shorncliffe’s Foreshore Tuition in Staff and Poi twirling technique, safety and fuels to use… We’ll teach you from absolute beginner, going through basic moves, or more complex moves for those who are more experienced… and if you are feeling confident, you will have the chance to light up after dusk under the supervision of experienced and safety conscious teachers.
