Posted:This board here is the first one I ever entered on the internet and I am glad I did. Realized it yesterday cause I found myself thinking of the HOP and all the beautiful people on the board,thinking about you as I think of my friends and family (eeer... actually my friends ARE my family..) To those of you I am in touch with personnaly and those whose post i just read with great interest and pleasure without always responding though : I love you and thank you with all my soul.

that being said, entering the HOP I also discovered a whole new "online" world and vocabulary (apart from the foreign language issue) and the most surprising one to me was "ONLINE PERSONNALITY"wowI know my personnality has various faces : happy, sad, gentle and nice and , yes, ugly or "cheap" pretty much like anyone. Personnalities evolve of course... and also I know that when I dance with fire my body language and personnality, or should I say my "attitude" (?) are not that of an everyday work attitude... But I see it as one house with different rooms... And as i write here on the board I am "naked" (don't give me that dirty look, just dunno any better word

I sometimes feel I am actually even more honest "online" because there is nothing to prove, but sometimes I find myself holding back from saying something and not entering a thread, whereas I probably would say what I think in flesh and bone reality... Posted:well, i think i'll have a go... certian people i feel i know pretty decently on here. or at least how thye choose to represent themselves, but i feel it woudl be a very twisted web to have anyone prominent on here be fake, since so many people know them in real life....
anyhow, as to myself, Kyrian is basically me. it's a nickname of sorts (albeit as made up as zel, long story) but it was funny cause peregine actually introduced me as Kyrian the other day... and Nyx left a message for me as Kyrian which was just funny. Kyrian is a little more me tho, if that makes any sense. Sometimes in person i am shy to hug people or to say stuff 'cause i'm afraid people will think i'm too forward. (unless i know no one from anywhere before whatsoever *including online* and then i'm very outgoing )
Kyrian is a little more outwardly loving and friendly than i feel like i can be with a lot of people. ah well. The other thing about Kyrian is that she is almost all positive, and i am not always as perfect, i guess you could say. Oh well, she is pretty much me, and as long as you seem comfortable with me in person you can get all the happy hugginess and such of Kyrian too

I've tried to avoid this thread as long as possible. Been taking time to consider myself on and offline. I'm more or less identical in both states. Apart from the constant smiling and generally how touchy feely I am. I'm a big hugging person, and much prefer speaking to people face to face than via email etc. I like to see peoples eyes when I speak to them, which some people find somewhat of an invasion.
However, I guess I am very ME on here to. Ignoring the fact that if we were all sat in a big room having this thread out as a conversation, i'd be the one who is really animated about what they're saying. I kind of talk with my body and face, not just my mouth.

Having said that, everything we do is always autobiographical - always says something about ourselves.
Xaeda: another INFP; I get INFP/J although I expect that's changed a bit now - should do the full one some time.. you'd make the third I 'know' (using the term loosely). Stat's wise, that's accurate my only bitch about it is that many people use it like a star sign.
You spin damn well, I learned my basics from your vids. And I'm perfecting my fingerspins slowly (hopefully will see how I fair with some smaller staffs tonight).
And being disorganised doesn't mean you're not an expert. I get accused of being one and my desk is... well.. lately I've been slightly more organised
Screen anonymity. Most communication is non verbal, so what ends up on the screen is typically slightly out of context (main cause of arguments). It pays to think out a comment.

When I was posting then, it was a lot more rarely. I was posting to some of the deeper stuff then, & didn't know as many people as well, and so wasn't joining in the personal stuff as much. I was kinda shy & serious.
Another part of my personality is showing right now, just as it would in real life. Talking more, shorter comments, in jokes. I am having to restrain myself from my usual sarcastic comments, cos although I feel so comfortable here that I could make them, maybe my knowing wink that said it was a joke, still wouldn't be seen.
Do you find that your online mood/personality changes day to day? Or is it more constant than your offline personality?

so Raph is a non-gamble, as i do take Raph, seriously, at his word, much respect for repping what he feels, at my best gamble-of-a-feel for him. just as one or two others here say they are a single, consistent personality. yes, if you feel you need to keep track of different personalities, they may not be strong enough to need to play for yous to bes fulfilleds. may your one identity be victorious, Raph & other single-personality friends of ours!

so Raph is a non-gamble, as i do take Raph, seriously, at his word, much respect for repping what he feels, at my best gamble-of-a-feel for him. just as one or two others here say they are a single, consistent personality. yes, if you feel you need to keep track of different personalities, they may not be strong enough to need to play for yous to bes fulfilleds. may your one identity be victorious, Raph & other single-personality friends of ours!

Posted:If I wanted to create an online persona, being a fencer wouldn't be my first pick. A professional tennis player, or some other sport would make much more sense if I wanted to impress the masses, most of whom think that fencing deals either in barbed wire or stolen watches.
I am too busy and just not interested in playing any role other than my own.

Its easy for someone sitting behind a computer screen to invent themselves. The only problem then comes when you meet face to face only to discover that it was just a pack of lies.
Kind of like the guy who seems all tough and in control of EVERY situation..then his wife walks into the room and he becomes a quiet little house mouse who only says "Yes, dear."
The internet has vast possibilities that I frankly believe have barely been tapped. It also makes deception of this kind quite easy and the kind of personal petty conflict that we have all seen on HoP lately quite safe.
Better to think before you hit the send button.
