----------- Spinning@... Update -----------

Dear all

we have moved to a new location.... se here for the new treead

[Old link]

see you at the rag factory..

this is why we have moved...

We had discussions in the pub on Tuesday regarding the use of the market for spinning@spitz and thanks to friends we have a much clearer idea of what’s going on:

Unfortunately we are not allowed back into the market for our workshops. It seems that while we have been out the market for the work, there has been a change of management. The new management appears to want to “increase the value” of the market area (gentrification is the term being used). This has led to many of the existing tenants not being invited to re enter the market, our selves included.

The st’georges residents association would have had no idea we would not be allowed back in, so although annoying its not their fault. We still have contacts in the market and we don’t want to cut out any future possibility of re-entering the market at a later date by kicking up a fuss, especially when there is no chance at all of us using the space in the current climate.

We need to do 2 things… 1. Find a temporary place to play ASAP… (see top) and 2. Find a permanent new home… to help us move forward we need your help. Please think of the people around you, be it your parents, friends, colleagues etc and see if there is anyone who may be able to finds us a new home… put the feelers out there.

If you find somewhere that fits our criteria (see below) then please get a contact name, a number or email and if appropriate, have a brief chat with them as a recommendation or personal contact makes a huge difference. If they are interested, forward their details to me and I will then chase it up.

We require an indoor or covered outdoor area with adequate lighting able to house up to 100 people on a Tuesday evening within 10mins from a tube and centrally located. We also require power to run a portable stereo.

On another note we have decided to have a Xmas party to raise some funds to help us secure a new spinning@..... ‘s venue. The confirmed date is Thursday 20th December in a Brixton from about 7.30 pm to 1 am. More details to follow.

Hopefully we will get sorted very soon and in the meantime we will meet at the poet next week and maybe look at ice skating, bowling or something else there after.

Huge hugs

Kev and the guys at spinning@.... ‘s

That's its tail

or possibly its bellybutton

it's hard for me to tell, because for strange webfiltering reasons i can only see my monkey as a big white square when i'm at work.

monkey, your play is a rip-roaring rollercoater of emotion - its sure to be a hit when it opens in the west end.
have you cast the part of the whale yet?
if not, i'd like to read for the part at some point - i think you'll be pleasently suprised at my ability to recreate whalesong with my two front teeth, a bucket and a metal comb.
not to mention the fact that i have lots of black and white clothes that have been repeatedly mistaken for an orca costume...

How [censored] am I?

I only went and exhausted myself walking round london all day. Got back to my hostel and collapsed on my (very tiny, very shoddy) bed and fell asleep. Woke up around 9pm went "AAAARRRRGGGHHHH" but phone was being [censored] and couldn't even ring and see if things were still happening.

frown frown frown

Oh well, I guess I'll have to come back down to london again at some point.

One day i'll learn to resist gravity...

Right, I definitely have proof. Every (like all of about 10 (but this is why..)) time I try to post, something goes horribly wrong. Usually my computer eats the post, once a power cut did it, once I think I hit the 'back' button or something and it disappeared; this time I survived reading all the way to the bottom of the page but was then momentarily distracted by Kat's kitten (helloo Kat (&kitten)) only to be attacked by the very last piece of my otherwise-really-nice lasagne. I think I pressed too hard on the plate and the fork slipped (the horror the horror.) I don't get it, or maybe I do, this thread doesn't like me, or it could be computers, perhaps it's my fingers! Oh no, it's my fingers!! This is not good. They're faster than my eyes (or is that my hands?) and I'm not sure that they sleep, and there are more of them than of me. And I need them to Poi! ..Aaaaahhhok. I will train my toes, problem solved..

Right, all this aside, I'm hoping I will be able to post that someone left their keys at Spitz last night..!! A set of 5 including 3 door and a probable work key - ASSA Sweden type.

Anybody know anyone newly homeless and fired?

I'm still 07779 322 530 if anyone needs it..

Apart from that, helloo, goodbye, and now you and my once-white t-shirt know why I don't get on here so much.

P.s.
There once was a man called Sim,
Who was given a blim on a whim,
He prodded and poked it,
Eventually smoked it,
And the rest of the story’s his grin.

censored dude.....that's inspired me to post too - lol....

Errrrm sorry for not being there to bludgeon people into giving up cash for spin but work is being as enjoyable as waking up to find a burglar having broken into your house, stolen everything including your bed, and them having masturbated all over your face in your sleep.......and I'm on call so getting no sleep or time away from house. This has taken my total spitz misses up to 13, I'm obviously distraught about it but my princess kept me company last night so all is not as bad as it could have been......oh no I tell a lie, I left her in bed this morning coz I was on an early shift ....only to be kept waiting around for an hour doing nothing and could have turned up to work later.......and I forgot to eat my cheesecake which was in the fridge....it is officially as bad as could have been.

(*Goes of to fit arm into a meat grinder*)

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, hope all you sexy kiddies are having loads of fun (I thought I'd use sexy and kiddies next to each other so the post gets loads of hits from people looking up child porn), and that you on't miss me toooooo much (hahahahahaha as if).

Hmm, farringdon or barbican are in the area, but would be a bit of a trek.
Liverpool street, Aldgate East and Moorgate are all closer...

Look in the clapham thread for clapham info, but i warn you, it's getting chillier down there. brrrrrrr.

and you don't know what lvl you are? Hang on...

*checks PoiSons label*

it says here that you're level Delta Twelve. Which is ok i guess. shrug
