ello to all sheffield poi and fire spinners out there, as i can see there are quite a few that use the bulletin board here! recent talks with several poi'ers that i know, we would like to meet up on sunday 30th december @ endcliffe park (ecclesall road)for an afternoon/evening of poi and fire frolics in the park to celebrate the festive seasons and see out the year before the mad new year parties where ever you may be going! basically just to have fun, meet other ppl that are unfortunate not to frequent headcharge or planet zogg and so we can all learn some new moves etc...so what do you all think? can you make it? post you replies here and i will put up more details..
thank funk for poi!

Hey lolli

Isn't it funny what you were saying bout no-one ever knowing who people were on HOP until u meet them?! And then your name pops up!

Got home ok but very tired, I had a really good time at the Sheffield convention, my only grudge being (well, apart from the drawn out poker game) was that i didn't have more time to look round Sheffield, it seemed like a nice place! Was good to meet you, and i'll hopefully see you round London Village sometime soon,

A short message to anyone who was at the last Sheffield 'Poi in the Park'.

Liam Tempest, on arriving home found that he'd left his orange poi, and is hoping that someone spotted them and picked them up.

They're quite distinctive being fluro orange (dulled by the years) cone style, but very short, and with black finger loops.

Nothing special, as poi go, but of great value to Tempest as they've been his main poi for a long time; he's very attached to them and has said there will be a small reward for anyone who finds them.

And if there's anything going on next weekend? Please let me know... I'm not sure if I'll be up there yet as the past weekend, my poor taxi got mauled by her parents and dragged out somewhere but hopefully with the amount of petrol I'll be pumping in her car she'll be up for going out smile
So to the point: I may be in sheffield, if anythings happening can you let me know?

Hey guys,

Sorry I haven't posted on here for ages, I sorta get involved in the PIP site and forget to post on here.

As Mechhead has said there is a PIP this weekend, in fact it is "The Anti-EJC-cos-we-can't-afford-it-PIP", so you'd better be there!

Sheffield PIP - Saturday 24th July
Endcliffe Park (by the frog-onna-log spot we normally use)
3pm until everyone goes home cos they're bored
Bring a friend or two

Sorry about the late posting, mail me on lwa02mps@shef.ac.uk with any queries.

Sheffield PIP this Saturday (21 Aug 04), usual time and place (Endcliffe park from 3-ish onwards).

Should also be some prototypes of the new ultra bright, ultra programmable electric poi that have been mentioned in the videos thread.

Re: January PIP 2005

ello ello one and all smile

hope everyone had a mightily good chrismas and new year!

matt and i have been raking our lil brains to sort out the best time to hold the 1st poi in park of the brand-spanking new year.

we have deduced that the most favourable dates are: satuday 29th and sunday 30th January 2005.

although traditionally PIP has been held on satudays, Matt may be in London and i have and exam on the 29th (grr) and so for us the 30th would be better!

however we are not the only ones who make PIP the fun day it is, you all do! and so we need to know what is best for y'all aswell.

if neither of these dates are sutable another alternative is satuday 5th Febuary 2005 , which is the weekend after the exams and before the start of term - lots of reason for celebration and fun!

as Matt assured, we'd really like to see this PIP happen, rain, shine, a mob of people or few!
so please come, if you can, and have a great time with us smile

poi in park will be held in Endcliffe Vale Park from 2PM till last man spinning

all other information will be come soon, Watch this space!

Good luck to all you with exams

Lolli and Solace x
