as you could say i'm going back to the basics If you're doing an in synch butterfly one hand should always be slightly higher (sounds like the right in your case).

Might help if you practise an off synch butterfly as well i.e. rather than both poi/hands moving in time with each other, they are out of phase- in this one neither hand stays on top.

Posted:when doing it in time they're usually more like fists and vertical than either up or down facing

a useful tip i got from the friendly SA girl on sunday: keep it as close to your body as you can to help you learn the planes - the risk of hitting yourself will spur your subconcious to chip in!

Posted:ok,this is what you do. take both strings and make two differant circles. then while spinning move thm closer and coser together. when your hands touch jus move them together up and down. its very easy.

Posted:also try move your right hand (top hand) slightly forward this makes it easier dont know why, mabey coz the planes are not on the same path just parallel and real close.

good luck

The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earth worms dizzy.
It will however make cats dizzy and cats throw up twice their bodyweight when dizzy.
