I'm trying to go into butterfly, smoothley from another move( say a weave) is there anyway that you can flow into the butterfly move without it looking messy?

Various wraps will get you there, and when done correctly, can be very smooth. You could also just split your weave for a beat then invert your planes into butterfly.

Let's turn those old bridges we crossed into ashes.
We'll blaze a new trail,
and torch the rough patches.

Try going from a butterfly weave on one side, to a butterfly in front of you and then to a butterfly weave on the other side.
