right click this link and *save the target as* 4beat ttn video

i just made this especially for you.

if you learn this move, learn it in split time too.... the ratio from same time to split time in this move makes the 4 beat ttn same time to 6 beat ttn split time. have fun

If a split-time TTN is just TTN on it's side, then where do the extra 2 beats come from to get from 4 - 6 beats on the split time?

I can't really understand it cause I can't manage the split time one yet. If anyone's interested Bassman has a great description typed out if you search for it.

sorry bout that pk - i had to download it 19 times to all the different pc's in my office

dss - yeah the split-time ttn is a normal one on its side but its still a different move - the changed orientation of the arms makes it so. its analogous to saying the corkscrew is just a weave on its side - which of course it kind of is, but if thats so, why don't we spin it three beat like we do vertical weaves?

split-time ttn would be identical to the regular one on its side if you span it with one hand above the other and on the ttn, thread the hands from the left side to the right and vice versa (the on the side equivalent of the normal above and below threading motion).
but that would be super awkward as you arms don't come directly out from your chest and stomach.
its a case of the limited 'all poi is a variation on one move' theory.

as for the beats, i'm crap at counting but remember any split-time bf move has crossover at the sides rather than the top and bottom.
so to get the same beats as with normal bf you would have to count at the sides rather than the bottom - even rob ain't crazy enough to count @ the sides!? mind you, the gandini's did it...
anyway, i think we get a weird count due to the arm orientation reason i mentioned before.
i have to admit that when i'm spinning a split-time ttn it feels like 1 1/2 normal ttn's. i can't count it at all though so i don't know if i'm doing the double one or not...

pk - any idea how many beats is it if you count this at the top (seriously man - i'd like to know if it makes any difference).

Well, Yes but I couldn't watch it due to technical difficulties with the abacus that I call a computer.

I don't think I ever did get it... thought I do remember you sending it.

Remind me... ? Resend maybe?

yeah, the split time variation is counted differently, its exactly the same hand movements [remember to rock hands side to side] as the same time 4 beat version.
if you count the top [ignore gandini's side counting crap] then it adds 2 beats on top of the 4 to make a total of 6, if like me when you learn this move for the first time in split time, you realise that your only doing part of the split time TTN, it took me ages to figure i can mirror the hand possition with the other hand, thanks to dan and his pointer that i was missing that, and deep discussion on the board some where we counted it to 6 beats.... dont ask for a recount as it aint gonna happen.
if you learn forwards and reverse and do a split time TTN weave you can do it 5 beat.... looks tasty, but your gonna have to buy col4 if you want a vid of me doing it.
enough vid making for one day and too much php scripts to last me a life time.
