Posted: I stumbled accross this while not trying anything inparticular, allow me to try & describe it:
Spinning poi reverse, same-time, at your sides: then swing both poi between your legs from behind - by the natural movement they should cross over each other if not your too smooth and need to stop it - you can look down and see which one is on top. Pull them out with putting more force into the one on top - the idea is that by doing this the top poi will become the bottom one as they come out (interms of being crossed over) and it will catch/hook the other poi (this is the tricky part) - as they are both hooked they come straight over your head and as they come to the front they separate and go into a forward butterfly. Does that make sense?
Between the legs, hook (tricky part), arch over your head, un-hook to butterfly, add wry, smug grin for extra effect then in to a horse-riding stance, wrap both poi under the thighs.... mmmm *wanders off day-dreaming*

Posted: you need to explain the hook part. I get the reverse, same time. It's when you get to the swinging between your legs and over your head that makes no sense.
I'm going straight to hell. Better practice my fire show.

Posted: I think he means they tangle inbetween you legs, become like a skipping rope, you swing the 'skipping rope' over your head and untangle. You could do a couple of skips first too.
That'd be cool, in an extremely uncool kinda way
"Switching between different kinds of chuu chuu sometimes gives this "urgh wtf?" effect because it's giving people the phi phenomenon."
Posted: So you're purposely tangling, and then stopping all momentum? Would that be a Gilligan Hyperloop?
Well, shall we go? Yes, let's go. [They do not move.]

Posted: The best way I can describe the tangle is (this could go horribly wrong ): once the poi are between your legs and crossed over each other (X-like) and come to a stop, pull the poi out use the same force as used for hyperloops: where the top hand carries the other poi over. Between the legs: cross over & stall, pull out & butterfly.
Imagine a skipping rope with the poi heads tangled in the centre. Good call Simian.
If that don't make sense I'll try and get one in my Col entry.

Posted: I was trying to make a gilligan hyperlook like that only it was supposed to go from front to back in ind of the same way. But I didn't spend much time on it.
