Hey guys, I was just messing with my practice poi (glowsticks on shoe string) and tried out something new. I tied a second set of glowsticks on the opposite end of each string. So now I have 2 glowsticks at each end of a ~12 inch string like this:

|:::::|-------------|::::::|

In the 20 or so minutes Ive played with them like this, Im seeing some potential. If held in the center of the string, you can do one-handed pseudo-isolation type stuff (I think, considering my limited knowledge of what an isolation is). Ive managed to do a weave type maneuver so far with them. Maybe some of you with more poi experience (Im pretty new to poi) could do more with this idea?? I dont know but figured it was worth posting.

Also, if this idea has already been brought up, please forgive me

Ah yes, meteor...Dont know much about meteors though. Arent they used differently? Like for one thing, you only use 1 and the string is long. I guess this would be like a short meteor in each hand.

Or with glowsticks you can do nunchuku style stuff because you can grab the ends which is different than a meteor.
I think Santanatrue played with this some time ago. Will send him over when I see him! Maybe he remembers which thread it was in, cause I don't!

I belive I mentioned it in the "definative wrap thread" or "definative list of wraps" or something like that. . It was mentioned in association with letting go of one end during a wrap and catching the other end. Called a "wrap switch". I belive Pozee and I were the inventors of this move, At least I KNOW he developed it, I can't remember if I came up with that move on my own too, or if I heard it from him.....

It has been mentioned in at least one other thread....I just don't remember which one.

Ok, FINE, i'll do a search...

Actually you should do some more research on the theories of isolations.

This set-up is actually used pretty commonly for doing color-changing and I have found it to be a good glow design for doing throws.
